mistakes happen

added 7 years ago BM I TG

The suits however, did come with wavers that any TF that couldn't be undone, was not 'suitable' to be sued over (or least the fair itself couldn't be). And even though... mistakes did happen... but with so many transformed, the majority simply fell through the cracks, got swept under the rug, or were settled out of court, or simply listed as MIA. Or were listed as people who had snuck out of the fair after using a transformation. Security was meant to prevent this sort of thing but, well, mistakes did happen, they were 'only human' after all.

Four seven year olds did step out of the chamber, Katherine, Timmy, Sandra, and Jake... but... Except...

Jake and Timmy, were more a 'Jessica' and 'Tabitha,' now with long hair and soft faces (as much as was the difference with children now). But that was hardly the biggest change.

The pods were out dated, prototypes, and were known to be buggy, that was why they were being sold so dirt cheap to begin with. Most would know to avoid them, but not four seven year olds for whom the TF fair was a real life wonderland.

And the internet menu for transformations, didn't have the filters of later models.

The four's skin was now shinny like plastic but still flexible. Their hair was now all long and waist long. Their hair was also now yellow, blue, green, and bright red, with eye colors to match. Each one was now clothed in a maid uniform that matched their colors, but otherwise was identical in style. If not for their name tags were now on their vests (with Timmy and Jake's names changed to Jessica and Tabitha), the four of them could have been mistaken for re-colored quadruplets. Their ears were now plastic antenna.

They emerged in perfect step with each other, each one smiling bright as they did so. "Greetings, we can't wait to serve you!" They echoed together.

The one running the booth, had no idea about the hidden traps, very few had any idea, mostly because there were safety measure in place to normally prevent it, that it was possible to reprogram the chips, and alter the default mode.

He wasn't secretly running a roboticization ring, nor was there a great corporate conspiracy to create a army of robots slaves out of people... these four, had simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"Heh! Cute kids! You should go and find someone who needs serving!" The booth owner played along.

"As you wish!" The four little droid maids said together, bowed, and marched in style with each other, until they ran into a girl who looked exactly like them, except her hair was purple, and her name tag read 'Mina'. It was generally considered easier and less trouble to give the little droids names rather than just their serial numbers.

"Oh hello! I'm Mina! Who are you?"

"Tabitha." "Jessica." "Katherine." "Sandra."

"What is your function?" She asked. She'd just finished cleaning the tables from the lunch crowd.

They four looked at each other.

"Uh. We don't know." Said the yellow Tabitha.

"Oh my! some human turned you on and didn't even give you your function? That's a shame. Don't worry, I'll help you." Mina took out a connection table out of her ear, and connected to each of her four sisters. Mina was even more surprised they had even been given serial numbers weren't even registered on the main frame.

With her context confined, and function driven robot brain, Mina concluded these four had simply been turned on by less than competent fair grounds personnel. Mina painfully remembered when another of her sisters had wandered off into traffic because the one who had booted her up had skipped several steps.

In minutes,
EGQ5862-Tabitha
EGQ5863-Jessica
EGQ5864-Katherine
EGQ5865-Sandra

Were all registered onto the system mainframe, and shown to indeed be just four of the several droid girls serving at the park, only different from their colors and name tags. Any data on them having been paying customers was read off as an error, and that information was deleted. Mina was happy that her four new sisters wouldn't be stolen now.

To save money for their constructin, Mina's network chip that connected her to the mainframe, was the same one used for the suits... which now registered the four as the cute little maid droids they'd been unwittingly transformed into.

The four... had the information stored that they'd been four human children until a while ago (a system defragmentation would take care of that though), but... that felt so trivial now. Cooking food, cleaning dishes, scrubbing toilets, and waiting on tables felt so much more important now. Within minutes, the four had blended in perfectly with the other maid girl machines that staffed the park, no one giving them a second glance. And no one looking for four children transformed would give what was basically considered park equipment a second look either.
