"School's starting again. How could you forget that?"
"Ah, sorry. I had too much on my mind."
To be fair, that wasn't really a lie. Today was originally his 3,723th day of work, and he didn't keep track of the school years.
"Yeah. Today they're having this orientation thing at 1:30. You did get a half day off, right."
"Yeah, I did." That was probably true. His this-dimension-him probably did it, before he got here.
Millie showed up with their food. They ate a few buffalo wings, and went off to play some games. Before, Lisa and Dave didn't play many video games. Lisa played a lot of Facebook games, but that was really it. Conveniently, there happened to be a Candy Crush arcade cabinet. Lisa inserted a few tokens, and proceeded to go ham and cheese on it.
An hour quickly passed, filled with games and socialization with their 'friends'. Most of them were people Dave only circumstantially talked to, but similar ages made them into good friends.
