I was shocked. I still couldn't believe everyone considered me an animal overnight. Ben was relaxed, and seemed to be happy with his life. If I was willing to survive, I had to mimic his behavior. They finally gave us our, at least mine, first food in a tray from the bottom of the door.
It consisted of peanuts and fruits, like in a zoo. No plates, no utensils, just raw food. Ben rushed towards the tray, and got whatever he wanted. He didn't even bother to peel or clean anything, just ate. I did the same. When all was over, he went to the corner. Then I saw him taking a dump. He had forgotten about humanly thoughts like shame for sure. I was afraid to become like him overtime.
With all these thoughts, I felt asleep in the corner.
When the morning came, I saw some people looking at our room. Dr. Hershel was among them, but today, she had hair in a bun and she was barefoot under her lab coat, and seemed to be wearing nothing else under it. I approached them and she smiled at me.
"Good morning, Simon, how was the night?" I answered:"It was kind of ok, Doc, but I'm still uncomfortable being treated like an animal. Isn't there a way out of this?" Her countenance became serious:"Simon, you should forget about this all. Maybe someday, hybrids will be of use in some places, but for today, it's an utopia. Your genetics show you're more of an animal than a human, so you'd better get used to this. After all, we have a surprise for you today." What kind of a surprise? My life was full of surprises for the last few days. She got in through the door and approached us. Ben ran to her and hugged one of her legs. She smiled and pat on Ben's head.
"Good morning buddy, but I gotta get your new friend out for a few things." I started to follow her. She got out of the room and started to walk outside. Her feet were quite dirty from walking barefoot, and I couldn't understand why. We finally stopped in an area which was covered with high barbed wires. The other people got out of the area.
Dr Hershel quietly proceeded removing her coat, and I realized she was actually wearing a one piece swimsuit. Since I hadn't played with myself last night, it was quite an arousing sight for me.
"OK Simon, today we will practice some skills you require to survive among other animals and hybrids. I am training you myself because it will take less time than getting used to alone.
