The door opens and Joy slowly walks in. "Don't shoot," she says calmly. "I-"
With a quick yank, you grab Joy and shove her forward into the guards, blocking them from an easy shot. You grab Danielle by the leg and drag her back into Anna's viewing area before slamming the door shut.
"What are you doing?" she mutters, half out of it.
"Trying to save my life," you say as you run over to the control panel. "Will the lycanthropy bites heal you?"
She manages a laugh from the floor. "It doesn't act that fast. It requires a day or three to set in. Otherwise most weres would end up choking on the fur every time they had a meal."
As soon as you hear the door buzz and click unlock, you hit the lock button, re-locking them out. This happens a few times as Joy and the guards try to enter again. There is a single pause as you hear one of the guards yelling "Stay down! Don't move! Do that again and I'll shoot you!" Obviously Anna wasn't fully cooperating.
"Oh God," Danielle says on the floor. "I'm dying.... Why are you doing this?"
"Joy and Anna tried to kill me." *buzz* You press the button again right when the click would come. The door instantly unlocked and then locked again. The swearing outside gave you a small amount of amusement.
Danielle sighed. "Threatened to expose the whoring aspect of the job?"
"Not really, but close enough," you admit.
*buzz* *click-click* *bang* "You can't do this for ever!" Joy shouted.
"Let her go!" one of the guards yelled.
"This isn't going to work," Danielle said. "There's a service entrance at the back of Anna's place. The lock is on the outside, so you can't get through it; but somebody is going to come through there and kill you."
"How can you work in a place like this?" you ask, waiting for their next attempt to unlock the door.
She laughed. "As someone who paid the entrance fee, you have to ask? The pay is incredible."
"Actually, I got two free tickets."
"From.... who...? We.. don't.. send... out... free..........." she said, drifting off. She wasn't going to last long, and it has been a short while since Anna's last attempt to open the door. It's suddenly quiet.
