The pain in my neck was taking over. It had spread from just the neck area to the entire body, a white-hot searing pain. As it started to get even worse, I began to whimper, and then yell in agony.
"Let me go! Please! Brian!" I begged.
Despite holding me between his canine fangs, Brian was still able to speak. "Starting to hurt, eh? It will get a lot worse from now on. I could snap your neck like a twig, ending your pathetic existence. Only one thing will make it stop, and that is whether or not you hand me the ring."
I had no choice. Any other move would lead to my instant death. I held up my arm and shook the ring off. It landed with a clud on the floor and stayed still.
Instantly, the pain was gone. I was curled up in the fetal position, reeling from the attack. Brian had quickly dropped down and scooped up the ring.
Brian's huge wolfish body towered over me as his wolfish muzzle shaped itself as an evil smile. "Foolish human, I can't believe you just handed me a source of unlimited power! Before I thank you, I must first make some changes."
Brian closed his yellow lupine eyes and thought silently. Suddenly, the ring started to glow with power. "How shall I improve my glorious body even further?"
