The Twists' respective afternoons...

added by The Masked Writer 2015 7 years ago O

Detectives Miles and Lukasky left Yvette Smith's hospital room with Frances Twist, who observed that the rogue were-vixen who claimed she was now at least bi, if not now a full-fledged lesbian after completing Jenny Harper's induction into were society, had gone back to self-pleasuring herself.
The trio walked down the hall to the nurses' station, where they knew they could talk without risk of Smith's keen were-vixen hearing listening in on their conversation.
There, Frances filled the detectives in on everything that had happened so far today. When done, the detectives looked at each other before Miles said, "Out of respect to you and your wife, we'll wait until after your examination and the coroner's report are complete, but we will have to have another conversation with the suspect. Do you know if she has a lawyer?"
"The Skulk provided her with one. You'll have to get the contact information from them. But despite everything else she's done, you don't think Smith is capable of murder, do you?" asked Frances.
"Right now, I'm not sure what is going on," admitted Denny Miles. "Even if the rogue is telling the truth and she hasn't seen her mother since being kicked out of their house, there are still some unanswered questions. Besides not knowing a definitive cause of death at the moment, there's also the mystery of who's been cashing the elder Smith's Social Security checks for at least the last three months, if not longer, depending upon the exact time of death."
"What makes you think someone's been stealing that money?" asked Frances, feeling her headache growing stronger.
"That's how long ago the delinquent bills in her mail box started arriving," revealed Detective Lukasky.

After the detectives said their goodbyes and left, Frances found a nice quiet corner in a visitors' waiting room, sat down, and called her wife.
"What's up honey?" Samantha asked because, as much as she loved the animated shorts, she knew better than to say "What's up, Doc?" to her wife.
"Can you pick up something for dinner to feed us, Ben, and Martha?"
"Sure. It'll be at least another hour before I can leave though. Right now I'm at the office taking care of some paperwork," revealed Samantha. "Are you all right?" she asked, detecting the stress level in her mate's voice.
Frances looked around to make sure she was alone, and then told Samantha what she could of her day over the phone in a public place.
"Yvette Smith. The gift that keeps on giving," quipped Samantha after Frances was done. She was also curious to hear more about Frances' private meeting with the Mayor about his daughter's growing relationship with Eric Anderson, but that could wait.
"Right now I just want to go home, take a long shower, and then lie down for a while," revealed the other Mrs. Twist.
"Sounds like fun. Would you like some company?" asked Samantha, as Frances detected a slight growl in her voice.
"As much as I would love that, I think I'll have to stick with my original plans for now," confessed Frances.
"That's too bad," said Samantha, who was already making a mental note to call Martha after she finished talking to Frances, so the two of them could plan to focus their love and attention on Samantha's wife first tonight during the more intimate portion of their evening. "You drive carefully, go home, take care of yourself, and I'll see you when I get there," she promised.

MEANWHILE...
Ben Twist had a relatively normal day at school. But with both Eric and Nate Anderson out on their respective dates this afternoon, he wound up riding the school bus home alone. He gave a brief thought to hooking up with one or more of his friends, especially if any of the ladies were available, but in the end decided it would be better to do his homework and rest, since he would have to go out for awhile tonight while his mothers "entertained" Martha Anderson.
Upon reaching his house, he was surprised, but quite happy, to see his car in the driveway. I still wish the high school would let the lower grades take auto mechanics instead of just the Seniors, then I wouldn't have to part with it even for routine maintenance.
Inside he met Frances, who revealed her immediate plans for the rest of the afternoon. Ben promised to be quiet while his mother rested.
Frances went to her bedroom while Ben went to his.
About halfway through his homework, Ben decided to have a snack.
He silently went to the kitchen, fixed himself a small sandwich, grabbed a bottle of water, and was about to head back to his room when there was a knock at the front door.
Setting his food down on the dining room table, Ben went to the front door and looked through the peep hole. He didn't know who it was but, sensing no danger, he opened the door a little and said, "Hello. May I help you?"
It was...
