“Can I just take a minute?” Lara asked. “This changing stuff is too much I just need to be human for a second.”
Jamie went over to Lara and put a hand on her shoulder, “I know this whole experience is a lot to process alright, but it’s almost over. Just too more times then we’re done.”
Lara looked at Jamie and smiled “I know, lets finish this” she said as the two of them went into the forth room.
The second Jamie and Lara entered the room they both gasped. In every other room Jamie had been to her transformation had always been a mystery until it was under way but this room made it very obvious. In front of Jamie and Lara was a large pool of water stretching way out into the distance. Floating a top of the water were several green lily pads making what appeared to be a trail.
“Frogs? We’re going to be frogs!” Lara said scared “I don’t want to be a slimy frog!” Lara took a glance over at Jamie and screamed “Jamie your hands!”
Jamie took a look at them and they looked normal except they had developed webbing between the digits. Jamie stretched out her fingers and looked at the webbing extend. “Wow this is so cool.”
“Are you nuts?” Lara responded “This is insane!”
Jamie just laughed at this “Hey can you hear me?” Lara looked confused by Jamie’s question. “I’m just asking because your ears are gone haha.”
Lara put a hand up to her head and felt she had in fact had her ears disappear. In their place was what appeared to be a tiny hole. Jamie continued to laugh. “Jamie this isn’t funny, I don’t want to be a frog”
Jamie brought a hand up to her head and felt that her ears where beginning to meld into her head.
“Well you can be upset all you want but this is happening either way” Jamie said trying not to laugh. “So you might enjoy yourself”.
Lara looked at her hands and took a deep breath; she stretched out her fingers to see she was beginning to grow webbing like Jamie was. “Alright, you’re right likes finish this so we can be normal again”. Jamie smiled and the women started to wait out their changes.
After an hour Jamie and Lara barely resembled their former selves. The first thing that happened was their hair started falling out in chunks until they were completely bald. About ten minutes after that their skin started taking on amore green hue and gained a slightly slimy texture.
Jamie looked over at her friend and how she was bald, green and had no ears. “This is so weird, we look like aliens” Jamie said.
“I feel like an alien” Lara said as she kicked of her shoes. Her feet had grown slightly larger and her toes were webbed.
Jamie took off her shoes as well and looked at her transformed feet. “I guess we should start trying to cross” Jamie said “It looks like we have a far way to go. Lara nodded and they were on their way.
The lily pads were thick and were able to hold up Jamie and Lara’s weight as they jumped from one to the other. The only problem was that they were still jumping like humans since their legs hadn’t change. After ten minutes of crossing the pond the gaps between the pads grew greater and Jamie knew she wouldn’t be able to cross it, lucky for her that’s when her legs started to feel funny.
“What’s going on” Jamie asked as she felt the bones shifting inside her legs. After a couple seconds her body was forced into a squatting position as her legs became fully formed frog legs. Jamie took a second to admire them as a fly buzzed past her head.
“Jamie help me” Lara said from a pad behind. Jamie turned her head and looked back at Lara and was surprised.
Lara was completely frog. Her eyes had grown twice their size and had turned black and yellow, her head had melded into her body making her neck almost nonexistent and last of all she had frog legs like Jamie. A fly buzzed near her and she opened her mouth and swatted out her tongue grabbing and eating it. “Ewww” Lara cried “I can’t control myself Jamie.” As Lara said this her neck inflated a bit and she let out a ribbit sound.
Jamie brought her hand up to her head and felt that she had changed more too. A fly buzzed by her again and she extended her tongue out and ate it. Jamie was disgusted by this but shook it off. “Come on lets hurry, I don’t want to be a frog any longer then we have to if we’re going keep eating bugs”
Jamie and Lara began hopping from pad to pad. At first they were scared but as they got more and more practice they became enjoying themselves. After fifteen minutes they had reach the end of the pool and could see the key on the other side.
Jamie hopped off and was about to grab it when Lara stopped her. “Wait Jamie doesn’t grab it yet.” Lara said “I’m having fun and I won’t be able to do this again haha” Lara was hopping from pad to pad laughing while occasionally swimming in the water. Jamie thought of the gift the game had given her the first time around and have Lara could do this every day once this was over if she really wanted to. Jamie didn’t want to tell her that though.
Jamie gave her a couple of minutes of fun before grabbing the key with one of her webbed hand and they were instantly transport back to the main hall.
Lara looked over her body and although she was relieved to be back to normal she kind of missed the fun that she was having.
“Alright just one more to go” Jamie said.
