Time for a change...

added by Grace Vonnegut 7 years ago TG O

Micheal took the bill in his hands. Same George as always, but the "series 1953" stamped in the corner stood out conspicuously. As he examined the date, he swore he saw George give him a wink. It might have been his imagination, or it might have been Robin's magic. Either way, the entire affair felt a tad disconcerting, which in turn made Micheal doubt the good intentions of his new "friend".

"Same dollar bill as far as I can tell," Andrew said, "Nothing changed but the date."

"Oh I know," Micheal said, trying to use his best "Michelle" voice, "But I love to look at the new bills all the same."

"Do you now, Michelle?" Robin pipes in, "You seem to like everything about 1953, don't you? You're just a regular 1950's girl."

But before Micheal could form a response, a glimmer in Robin's eye stopped him cold. The background behind Robin's face shifted as if being warped. But Micheal wasn't able to pinpoint the changes taking place. It was simply impossible for him to move his eyes away from his new acquaintance who now looked just like one of the girls in the mirror. Only this time, she was straight out of 1953 complete with her blond hair in a pageboy bob. The glimmer in Robin's eye told him that not only was the glamor no longer a glamor for her, but for Micheal as well. He gulped silently as he gave a glance downward with all the 1950's feminine grace he could muster. All that remained of the clothes he wore before was a blue 1950's swing dress, and he now saw two boobs barely poking out as well. But the waiter arrived before he, now she, started to reach for a physical check

"Hi, ya folks," The all in white now 1953 waiter said, "What can I do ya for?"

Apparently, it wasn't Micheal alone that Robin had changed. As Andrew ordered for the table, Michelle glanced out the window. The entire village now exactly appeared as the present day of 1953. A bit of horror crept into her mind as she realized she now thought of herself as Michelle, and the current year as 1953. Just how much power did Robin wield? She remembered the fear of the barkeep and the warnings of her aunt.

"Milkshake is here, Michelle dear," Robin elbowed with the tiniest bit of command, "Perk up, will you? The boys are kind enough to buy us lunch. The least we can do is be good company."

Boys. Michelle looked into Andrews eyes with a big smile appearing unwittingly on her face. Andrew and his companion, Bobby, were big, bigger than she had realized before, strong, and handsome. The thought of them made her giggly. And Robin giggled along with her although it was probably due to her amusement over the situation she created. Michelle gracefully drank her milkshake through the striped straw and batted her eyelashes at Andrew.

"You two are all the company a guy needs," Andrew said, "But what do you girls like to do here for fun?"

Without hesitation, Michelle opened her mouth to respond...
