While the ambulance was rushing Rick to the hospital he started to dream. He was standing in front of a locker in a school. Rick could feel his body was that of a complete girl with a girl's genitalia. He had just pulled out a jacket when he heard Diane's voice say, "Rikki I need your help."
She sighed and turned to see Diane coming her way. Diane almost always needed her help because of the attitude she had taken before. She was happy to help her adopted aunt though since it was the scratch she left on her when she was Rick that allowed her to become Rikki. "What do you need?" she asked.
"Well I need help studying for the math test tomorrow," Diane said looking just a bit embarrassed. She still wasn't used to getting help from her adopted niece.
Rikki smiled and said, "You know I'll help you. And I think Dad and Mom appreciate how you turned your life around these past few months."
Diane looked down looking a little ashamed before saying, "I had to. It scared me so bad when I accidentally scratched you and you almost died. It was because of the way I was living my life that had caused you to almost die and I didn't want that."
Rikki hugged Diane and said, "I know you only meant to scare me and I've forgiven you time and time again. There's no reason to beat yourself up about it. Besides you did learn something from it and that's a positive thing. Also it helped to expand what we know about werebeasts."
"I still can't believe that you're the first male werecheetah," Diane said shaking her head.
"There are no male werecheetahs," Rikki growled out. "You should know that since you transformed me. Tell me what you had seen between my legs when you did that."
Diane blushed and said, "I saw a girl's genitals. I still don't get how that happened because according to Kathy you still have a Y chromosome, or how you became 14 again."
Rikki smiled as they boarded the bus to go home. Once they were seated she said, "Well the genitals start out the same for boys and girls in the womb and the skin fuses together completely if it's a boy and only partially if it's a girl. The virus or whatever it is reversed what had happened in the womb due to me having two X chromosomes and the introduction of two more X chromosomes. As to why I'm fourteen again well you know that when a normal becomes a werebeast their genetic code is rewritten to a degree. It's almost like being reborn but in my case it was more pronounced. It allowed for the sex gene on my Y chromosome to be turned off and the one on my X chromosomes to be turned on. This allowed me to become a girl through a kind of rebirthing."
Diane looked a little nauseated as she said, "I remember watching some of your skin slough off. That was when I was the most terrified that you were dying."
Rikki smiled and said, "I think that I just about did die when that happened. Though thankfully my condition had slowed down the destruction of my cells long enough for the treatment to work. It might have been a case where if the treatment had been started just a second later I would have died. Of course since this happened every normal has to be karyotyped in order to find out if they have Klinefelter syndrome. Just think of a girl who has that, and there are those who have Klinefelter syndrome who develop as girls, deciding to become a werecat or werecheetah. Because of the Y chromosome they have they could die. And it would be the same for a boy with it wanting to become a werelynx, the extra X chromosome would kill them and they wouldn't know it if they didn't know they had Klinefelter syndrome."
The dream faded to black and Rick woke up to the paramedics taking him out of the ambulance. He smiled at them before lapsing back into unconsciousness because of his fever.
