Mary Lou and Adam crossed the street with little difficulty. Adam wondered why the street was unusually deserted for this time of day. A large sign on a utility pole provide the answer. It read:
"Warning: Large Alligator missing and at large. Please report any sightings to City Zoo immediately. DO NOT APPROACH WITHOUT ASSISTANCE."
Of course, thought Adam, Mary Lou's disappearance was sure to be public knowledge by now. And if he was human, the last place he would want be was the street after a 19 foot alligator was running loose. Mary Lou thought she saw a small child watching her as they entered the edge of the forest, but after several hours, no one appeared to be pursuing them so Adam thought Mary Lou was probably just confused,
The pond, as Mary Lou had called, was much larger than Adam had expected. It was actually a lake, but because of her confinement, Adam doubted she knew the difference. :"What are you doing?" whispered Adam.
"What do you think I'm doing? I'm swimming. Come on in, the water's fine," said Mary Lou.
Adam hesitated, "Come on, " said Mary Lou. "There's a small island out there. It will be easier to hide there."
Adam looked in the distance. Miles away, almost out of view, he saw a small island. He remained rooted to the shore.
"What's the matter? Please don't tell me you can't swim?" said Mary Lou with a laugh.
"Of course I can swim. " said Adam shortly. "It's just that island is very far away. I've never swum that far, and I'm still getting used to this body."
Mary Lou chuckled. "Dear, these bodies were made for swimming. " She jumped out of the water, and Adam saw water gently dripping off her smooth, feminine figure seductively in the moonlight. He had to consciously control his erection again as she approached the shore.
Mary Lou gently grabbed his hand, and looked into his eyes. "Trust me. I'll help you. You do trust me, don't you?"
Adam looked into her eyes and silently nodded, and together they entered the water
