"I dare you guys to go check out the old castle. Bet you can't stay there for more that a few minutes!" said Justin, giving Nate a hard shove backwards. Nate's friends Mickey, Sarah and Cody looked on. "Those go for you three as well!"
"We're not scared of that stupid castle, are we boys?" retorted Sarah, looking to her friends. Nate walked over to her and nodded.
"Jokes on you Justin, I've always wanted to explore that castle anyway." replied Nate.
Justin looked at them smugly. "Well, then you better get going, it's going to be dark soon."
The four friends looked at each other and walked up the gravel path to the old castle. They had all heard the various legends and stories over the years, but none of them really believed it. Justin was a jackass and the closest thing the school had to an actual bully. Nate and Sarah were happy to show him up as they had both wanted to explore the castle anyway. Mickey and Cody were a little less sure about it, but went along anyway since they didn't have anything better to do anyway. They were too old for trick or treating and the monster movie marathon didn't start until later. Little did they know they were walking into an all star monster movie of their own, and they were the stars.
They walked up to the castle doors and surprised at the good condition of the building considering it was the oldest building in town. Sarah reached out and turned the knob. The door opened with a tell tale creak, just like the old horror movies. All four let out a chuckle as they walked into the castle. All four looked around, impressed at the interior that seemed frozen in time. Everything was just as it had been left all those years ago. The town had thought about turning it into a museum of sorts, but lacked the funds or the manpower to do anything with it so they left it be.
As they walked into the castle, all four friends were being pulled in separate directions to different parts of the castle. For the castle knew these four teenagers would make the ideal start to regrowing it's supernatural influence.
