The multi-million dollar corporation, Food Inc, was best known for ending world hunger. That was only one of the myriad of accolades that the company held, but as the giant food processing company made strides in the global hunger relief effort and achieved near-impossible results, that was the first time that the public eye took notice. Just how did they do it? How on earth was such an impossible task achieved with such ease and so few resources?
It started, of course, with the press. Every reporter and newspaper wanted the story behind the company, the 'secret', as so many referred to it, that allowed the corporation succeed where so many others had failed. Stories were spun out of the interviews that ensued with some of the corporation's top officials, and for the most part, the answers were generic, and generally accepted by the public. But others still searched for the true answers.
Eventually, the government took notice of the oddity. Even though everything appeared normal in all of the paperwork and official channels, something just didn't ring right. And so, with their hands tied, they turned to outside help to expose any secrets that the company might have been hiding. A team of mercenaries were assembled and given the job to sneak into one of the company's main factories and collect intel about what exactly was going on behind those closed doors.
These gifted individuals split into smaller groups and each infiltrated the factory separately, unaware that they all were likely to become that which they were investigating - food.
Each branch follows one of the groups on their perilous journey and eventual demise.
