The truth was that Cindy wasn't as stupid as everyone thought. She just pretended to be that way. Because she developed early in life, she learned at a young age that people assumed if you were pretty, you were also stupid. And by acting stupid, you could get away with a lot of things. So she played the part of the dumb blonde.
People always assumed that Brittany was using her, but the truth was that Cindy used Brittany, as well. Brittany got her into all the cool parties, helped her meet the hottest guys, and - because Brittany was wealthy - gave her all kinds of goodies she could have never afforded on her own.
She could have used her looks to just coast by in school - like Brittany did - but she actually wanted to do something with her life after high school, so she actually paid attention and did well in class. No one was suspicious - everyone at school just assumed she got good grades because she was fucking her teachers. It's not like Brittany or any other student at school checked her tests or homework results. She had gotten a high score on her college entrance exams, and was in the process of applying to get into a good college.
But now Brittany and Leslie were going to screw that up .... screw up her whole life, in fact.
