Derrick gulped as he looked up to Jason, who was now a huge 10-foot muscle monster!
"Basketball is a team sport! Sure, you're the biggest guy on the court! And so? You're NOT the only guy on the team, you know!" Derrick said, still in defiance of his big, overgrown friend. Derrick and Jason have never been friends, and that clearly showed throughout the encounter between the two. But Ty decided to have some more fun with this, and he looked around to see who else was with him in the gym.
Ty was happy to see that just about everyone there was his friend: John, Chris, Rob, Kory, Brian, Peter, Dustin, Allen and of course Jason. Then he got another idea.
"Hey Jay, just set him back down. I got a better idea. He will be the smallest guy on the court! He's so used to being a big bully, that I'm going to use this opportunity to teach him a lesson!" Ty shouted at Jason, who put Derrick back down so that his feet were on the court.
"What are you going to do? Are you going to shrink him down?" Jason asked Ty.
"Nope! I'm going to do the exact opposite: Everybody ELSE is gonna grow 8 feet tall!" Ty said. And with that Ty turned towards Peter and Allen. "Hey guys, help me out with some power, will you?"
Allen concentrated on Peter, and he began to grow to 8ft tall. Then Peter took care of Dustin, Allen, Rob and Brian, while Ty grew himself, John, Chris and Kory.
"Oh NO! You guys are all giants!!" Derrick gasped, when he noticed that he was suddenly the smallest guy on the court, while he was surrounded by nine giant 8-foot basketball players!
"I'M OUTTA HERE!!" Derrick said, as he started to run towards the big steel doors, leading to the locker room.
"NOT SO FAST, Derrick!" Peter shouted back at him. "FREEZE!"
Immediately Peter's power took control of him, and Derrick was frozen in his tracks. Then Peter made him move again, turn around and run back on to the court.
"You WILL play a game of basketball with us, and you will NOT be allowed to walk off the court!" Peter ordered him.
"And you will play with us until we tell you that you can stop!" Ty added on to Peter's spell.
The ten players started their game and they had a blast! Everybody made their shots, and every player was able to dunk as well. And Derrick quickly learned to humble out. And he decided in his mind to accept Jason as a friend after all.
After the game was over, Derrick walked up to Jason, who had now shrunk back to his actual height.
"I'm sorry for acting like such a jerk towards you. I was always jealous of you because you have so many friends. I was envious and I began to hate you... Can we be friends after all?" Derrick asked Jason quietly.
"Of course! Next time, we'll make you grow tall with the rest of us, if that's alright with Ty and Peter!" he answered. Then he turned towards Ty and Peter, who winked back in approval of the restored friendship.
"Awesome job, Ty!" Peter said to Ty, as they gave each other high-fives.
"Hey, this working together with our powers is awesome! We should do this more often!" Ty said back to his cousin.
The bell rang, Peter picked up his basketball, and everyone headed to their first class. They had all decided to make it a regular thing before going to class every day, to play a round of "Giant Basketball".
