Moving close to the scowling innkeeper, Mika whispered "I want to stay like this, stay your stableboy. Will you make this permanent?"
Audrey spun around and scowled. "If you are making any kind of lewd comments, you little horse-hung pervert, I'll op off those big balls of yours!"
"Uh, no ma'am!" Mika shook his head. "We wasn't talking about you at all! I was askin' about my contract with my master here."
Not surprisingly, Audrey was annoyed they were not talking about her, but resumed her inspection with a huff.
Robin chuckled and tousled Mika's matted hair. "Do not worry, boy. You have employment as my stable boy forever, just as you are."
When Audrey found nothing else, she stormed out, scowling. "When I find that lazy, good-for-nothing would-be wizard, I'll...." But she was gone and they never heard what terrible things the female fighter was planning.
Mika turned and hugged Robin. "Thank you!"
The innkeeper looked puzzled, but grinned. "I never thought one of my victims would be grateful. But you are welcome, boy. And I meant what I said. You'll never get any older. And the longer you stay here the better stable boy you will become, and the less of your old life will remain. You will eventually be exactly the happy, dull-witted servant of beasts that you appear to be."
"Great!" Mika goes back to shoveling manure, thrilled to be free of Audrey, while Robin goes in, shaking his head in amazement.
