Cleo wasn't surprised on Monday morning when the first knock on her door was Janine. The two exchanged knowing smiles once the door was closed behind Janine.
"Good Morning, Janine" said Cleo. "Was your weekend adventure all you hoped it would be?"
"It was amazing" replied Janine. Simply amazing. I hope the rest of your weekend was uneventful?" asked Janine.
"Nice and relaxing, with no further interruptions. What can I do for you this morning?"
"Do you have any more?"
"Any more of what?"
"You know what."
"I'm afraid there isn't more."
"There must be! Or at least you could surely make more, couldn't you?"
"I intended for our arrangement to be a one-time deal."
"I understand, but once wasn't enough."
Cleo sighed. She had hoped the events of Friday evening would never come up again, but she had feared they would. She hadn't gotten to upper management through rash decisions and she wasn't going to make one now. She stared at her assistant, considering what to do next.
Janine was nowhere near as calm as her boss. She closed the distance to the desk and gripped the edge in desperation. "Please..." she pleaded. "I'll do anything to be able to become a mermaid again!"
