Oliver summoned up every last bit of his courage and plucked the Sesame Street briefs from the box, regarding them with awe as he stood up and studied the smiles of Big Bird, Elmo, and the rest of the friendly faces that used to fill the afternoons of his early childhood with laughter and learning. It astonished him that he used to be little enough to fit into them, and it occurred to him that he might not be able to even get them up his legs. Still, he wasn't about to turn back now - and so it was with his heart thumping and his cheeks flushed that he pulled off his sneakers and guided his feet through the red-banded legholes of the babyish briefs. Skinny as they were, his legs still proved way too big, but after a good deal of wiggling and yanking Oliver finally managed to get the elastic around his waist, the boy giggling nervously at how silly he felt and looked with the back of the briefs buried deep in his crack and the front bulged obscenely by his adolescent package.
He didn't have long to linger on his embarrassment, as the head-lightening vertigo of his first transformation swept back over him with even more strength than before. Oliver wavered and nearly fell but managed to right himself through sheer determination, insistent of being there to take in every detail of his trip back to childhood. He stared down at himself in abject awe as the ground drew closer, as his limbs slimmed, as his shaking fingers shrank into the stubby little crayon-grippers of his early boyhood. His tummy and thighs plumped with stubborn traces of babyfat. He looked up at the television screen and beamed as his features softened, cheeks plumping and hair lightening and the smattering of freckles turning into an adorable abundance. Big eyes getting brighter every moment, ears becoming endearingly oversized, nose shrinking into a cute little button. His laughter grew ever higher in pitch as he made faces at his reflection, partly because he was caught up in the silly giddiness of the moment and partly because it allowed him to watch as he regained all of his white little perfect baby teeth.
Finally, it was over - and where had stood a seventh grader a moment prior there was now a child ready for his first day of pre-school, a beaming, giggling little boy wearing nothing but his favorite pair of Sesame Street undies. Oliver, filled with energy, twisted and squirmed as he took in every detail, endlessly amused by just how tiny his wiggling toes were and by just how smooth his skin had become and by the way his round tummy spilled just so over the waistband of his undies - undies that now perfectly fit his chubby little hips. He grinned naughtily as he pulled at the waistband to look at what hid underneath, chiming laughter filling the room when he saw the tiny hairless marbles and the adorable nub that made the smallest of lumps in the front of his briefs. Oliver let the waistband snap back into place and looked around in awe as he half-skipped, half-strolled around the room, astonished at just how big the world had become.
"This is so cool," he chirped, trying out his tiny preschooler voice and deciding he rather liked it. Though he felt like he still had all of his adult cognition, the excitement and wonder of a four-year-old had become forefront in his mind, spurring him to play and explore and figure out what sorts of trouble he could get into. After ruminating on it for a moment, Oliver decides to...
