"Welcome, Welcome to Mason's Market of Mayhem and Magic!" a young and slim man welcomed. He appeared to be in his mid twenties and wore a typical magician get up, with curly hairs poking down from his silly top hat.
"Uh, hi. I think I'm at the wrong place. I'm looking for a department store?" the customer being greeted, Ryan, responded. A college student, he stood around 5'8" with a well toned body, sandy fashioned as a tapered comb over, and cool blue eyes. He turned towards the entrance when the door shut in front of him.
"Wait! What's the hurry? My store holds a variety of items greater than any department store could hold, and at low low prices!"
"Aren't you a little young to own a store?" Ryan folded his arms.
"Ah, I think you'll find that not everything in this shop is as it appears. Actually, just about nothing in this shop is as it appears! What can the great Mason help you find?"
"Right... typical magic act. A few buddies and I are going to a rave. I just need some beads to make kandi."
"I have just the thing!" Mason pulled a black wand with a white tip out of his coat, "string or fushion beads?"
"Both" Ryan shrugged. Mason theatrically swished his wand and produced a large box of beads, in a variety of colors, from behind his back. "Hey, cool trick" Ryan grinned as he was handed the box.
"Thank you. Though I must warn you, If used improperly, these beads will cost you a terrible price".
"I thought you said this store was all about 'low, low prices'" Ryan mocked.
"These beads have the ability to absorb the essence of their wearer. If exchanged with beads worn by another, the two of you can exchange physical or even mental features." Mason casually walked behind the cash register, "Lets say for example if I were to wear these beads, and you were wearing some regular department store beads. If I put your beads on, and you put my beads on, then I could regress to your age, while you progress to mine."
"So is that how you became such a young shop owner. You're secretly an old man?" he smirked.
"Heheh, just an example! Of course it's not limited to age, height, muscle, facial feature, skin tone, even sexual preference is game. However, if you are not well versed in magic, you may not be able to predict which features will be exchanged. It could be a combination of many different features. Also, any symbols or words on the beads will influence how a person is changed."
"What a terribly price" Ryan replied sarcastically, "Speaking of, how much for the beads?"
"Since you're cute, I'll give them to you for fifteen."
"Awesome, do you accept card?"
"But of course" Mason gave the card a glance before swiping "Ryan, I like the sound of that. Don't be a stranger. Maybe I'll see you at that rave."
"Haha, maybe, thanks!" Ryan walked out of the shop with his new beads. "That dude was totally strange" he thought to himself, "Talk about getting into character. Oh well, at least I got these. Time for Danny and I to make some kick ass kandi!"
