Jack had his finger poised to click the "save all changes" button, but his friend grabbed his wrist before he could execute the action. "Hang on a sec," he said. "I wanna hit the bathroom one final time before you stick a plug up my ass." Jack chuckled and replied, "go ahead; I'll wait." Patrick left the room and walked down the hallway to relieve himself, leaving his best friend alone in front of the computer.
Jack looked at what he had written and thought about it. Yeah, it would be cool, but he figured that he could have much more fun with it. A LOT more fun with it. He went back to the main screen and navigated to Pat's model. He made a few clicks and typed a few things and in under a minute, Pat's model had completely changed.
Its appearance looked similar to him, and when the transformation occurred, would feel like him as well. However, everything was 100% synthetic. The only telling difference (on the screen, anyway) between this version of Pat and the real one was that the bright green eyes of the model were glowing. Jack then navigated to his model and made several changes there as well.
He surveyed his handiwork as a sideways smile crossed his face. He was going to change his best friend into an attack robot and himself into its biomechanical pilot. The attack robot was going to be 15 feet tall (he had edited the room's dimensions to account for this) and packed with a bunch of crazy weapons that hadn't even been conceived of yet. It would be completely inanimate unless it was being piloted. Pat himself had been reduced to a mechanical voice, not even an AI.
Jack was going to be a biomechanical pilot. His eyes had turned into opaque, glowing electric blue lenses that showed no expression, his emotions being shown by his mouth. These eyes doubled as cameras and he would be able to record anything he wanted whenever he wanted and play these recordings (stored on a drive inside his brain with virtually limitless space) back on command. When he was sleeping, the lenses would lose some of their glow. His arms were entirely mechanical and would be able to morph into anything he needed, be it a gun or something to interface with a computer terminal. He could think faster than a supercomputer and had the smarts to go with it. His brain was part human and part mechanical. He could hack into nearly anything. He was also able to make wheels come out of the soles of his feet (what looked like shoes were actually his feet). He had a port at the base of his skull and down his spine where plugs in the bridge of his attack robot would be inserted so that he could control it. These would be hidden by a white t-shirt and a black sleeveless zip-up hoodie, the good of which would usually be kept up. Finally, he would be only a few inches tall, but the entire world would shrink with him, making everything still seem normal-sized. Size was relative.
When jack finished reading, he heard Pat coming down the hallway, returning from the bathroom. Jack quickly adjusted the settings to say that only he would know the new reality was different, to make the transformation take place over the course of a minute, and to have the new reality last for 5 years, but this last figure would be able to be altered later. Just as Pat was about to walk into the room, Jack hit "save all changes".
