On a lonely island in the Pacific, far away from land, civilization, and International Law, lived a merciless and insane scientist by the name of Dr. Lewis Patella. His small, self-sustaining lab contained the most modern equipment known to civilization, even slightly beyond, but was locked away from prying eyes for the lab was shrouded under the guise of a tropical resort. The resort was a kind of funnel for Patella, allowing him to access new subjects onto which he would “experiment,” performing often horrendous surgeries on his victims in the secrecy of his underground bunker. Patella himself was secretive; to the guests of the resort, he was a well-trimmed yet eccentric fellow, with frizzy, combed back white hair and a moustache that would put Teddy Roosevelt to shame. To his victims, however, he was a wild maniac, his hair falling into disarray and his motions sudden and fierce...
Not much of Dr. Patella’s origins are known, nay even he tells anything of his past. He operates in complete secrecy: when he takes victims, he makes sure that the plane they would be flying out on would mysteriously crash, keeping total secrecy about his operations. His tropical paradise got rave reviews, with celebrities coming and going constantly, but the prices were always low so he could attract everyday subjects, those with anonymity for whom the world would not cry out…
