Katie was hesitant about giving the ring back to Bobby. So far, the ring had really help improve both her life and Kellie's. But then again, Bobby did pay for the ring and it was rightfully his. Katie had been raised to do the right thing so her conscience was heavily compelling her to return it. "Ok, I'll give you back the ring, but first I want you to make me a promise," said Katie, "Promise me that you won't use the ring against me or Kellie. If you're going to use it on us, please ask me first. Me and Kellie have a good life going on right now and I don't want to lose it."
Bobby thought it over and said, "Fair enough. I promise I won't use the ring on you or Kellie without your permission."
Katie removed the ring from her finger and passed it to Bobby. Bobby placed the ring on his own finger and both of them felt a small tremor through them. Did the ring accept the promise?
