The suckling children continued to grow as they fed from their mothers' breasts. They seemed to be aging at slightly different rates. Mandy's son was starting to slow down as he crossed puberty's threshold. Jennifer's daughter kept aging until she looked to close to Bobby's original age. Ashley's daughter seemed somewhere in between the two. Eventually, the three of them finished their growing and stepped away, looking around in confusion. Mandy's son looked about 14 years old. He had rather wiry build and his hair was densely curly and orange. Jennifer's daughter looked quite a bit like a 16 year old version of her, though she was taller than most girls of her age, her brown hair in a bob cut that ended near her shoulders. Ashley's daughter was probably 15, but her larger breasts and wider hips could have made her look older. Her blonde hair was pretty, but it was in a very frizzy style.
"Well, this sure don't look like me home," said Mandy's son, his voice having a thick Irish accent.
"Like, totally, this sure ain't my home," said Ashley's daughter, her accent like a somewhat outdated teenager.
Jennifer's daughter walked off but soon returned with a calendar. "Good thing it's only been two years for me," she said as she looked at it, "I wonder if everyone's forgotten about me entirely."
"Wait a second, what's going on here?" asked Jennifer, walking up to her daughter.
"I guess you're my new mom now," said her daughter as she checked her hair, "Here's the thing, you're not my original mother. My name's Cindy and I used to own the Ring of Youth before my new dad." She looked at Bobby meaningfully.
"There have been other people who owned the rings?" asked Bobby.
"Of course, you think that Merlin only sold the rings to you. There have been other people who have owned the rings across the ages and some of them, usually by accident, cause themselves to be wished out of existence and our souls are tied to the rings until we can be reborn," said Cindy before looking at the other two teens, "I'm guessing the same things happened to them before I got it."
The other teens were in for a surprise when they saw what year it was. Ashley's daughter has originally been a girl named Bonnie from the 80's which would explain her outdated lingo. But Mandy's son, Rory, was in for a bigger shock. He had originally immigrated from Ireland with his family at the turn of the century before he had found one of the rings. Even so, he was healthier condition than he was back in his time, even if his eyes were the wrong color and his ears the wrong shape. Bobby still wasn't sure about the significance of the purple eyes and pointed ears. The greater question was what to do with these teens.
