Llegoce was beautifully lit up by the light of Angel's presence. You felt warm and safe as she held your hand and guided you through the strange and breath-taking trees that covered the landscape of earth that you walked upon. You made your way through the forest feeling the danger had past until a second light shone through the trees. A full moon had accompanied you through the night, and the wolf howl returned.
"We must run!" Angel replied.
But your senses knew better. You were already in the company of the wolf. Whether it was the same wolf as before, or the wolf's otherworldly self, it was here to confront you, again.
"Why run, when you can stay for dinner?" The wolf snarled hungrily.
A courage welded up inside you as you stood before the wolf. You stepped ahead of Angel and shielded her against the wolf, in case he tried to attack. "Heed my words canine of the forest. You are no match for me, for the powers of Cervine are mine to command!" Your voice boomed with greatness and the wolf cowered for a moment.
It then laughed shortly after your echo faded. "Why should I be afraid of you Elk-powers, young one. I am master of tooth and fang. I will consume your powers before you even learn them," the wolf gave a toothy grin and made to pounce.
You reacted without thinking, and raised your hand. Your powers of good and light shot forth from your fingertips, as your form shifted into that of an elk. You felt your fingers merge together to form hooves and your proud antlers sprang forth to life as you brayed triumphantly toward the wolf's failing attack.
It whimpered in defeat and you forced your powers upon it to hold it in place. It groaned in agony and you lessened your grip upon it, but held it steadily to the ground.
"Be you the one who attacked Sarah's sister and grandmother?" You ask.
"Why should I answer?" The wolf asked in despair.
"Because, I grow hungry, and I might try wolf meat if no other meat is welcomed to me," You bluffed. You're stomach didn't actually feel up to anything meaty in this form.
"ALRIGHT!" The wolf howled. "I am the same wolf, I traveled through the mirror shortly after you and the others fell in. The witches vines weren't enough to hold me and I've been hunting you for weeks.
"He must have also been lost in the River of Time," Angel guessed. You thought this too and released him.
"If you promise to leave us, I will not harm you, again," You say.
"No! No!" The wolf growled and withered on the forest's floor.
"What is it? I've released you! You shouldn't feel anymore pain," You say.
"NO!" The wolf screamed and howled as the moon lowered beyond the mountains in the distance. It had began to change
