Aside from seeing my transformed girlfriend sleeping in bed, there were numerous books scattered around in stacks on one side of our bedroom. Ever andsince Molly became a Human-Sphinx hybrid, she's been reading....a lot. More specifically, she's been reading various books on Egyptian culture and mythology. After all, when I was in bed with her last night, she was already through her 10th book before I fell asleep. Though, I don't blame her for becoming so.....obsessed, with Egyptian mythology, especially since we found out that Sphinxes actually existed when we encountered the mummified body of a Sphinx inside a sarcophagus back at the museum.
Anyway, I noticed that Molly fell asleep while reading, since there was a still-open book covering her face as she slept. Figuring that I might as well wake her up, I placed the breakfast tray on top of the clothes cabinet, then climbed up onto the bed, as I then picked up the book and removed it from her face, placing the book on one of the stacks.
From there, I noticed her feline-like nose crinkle several times, sniffing the aroma of her breakfast nearby, causing her to awaken from her slumber. Originally, Molly had these beautiful jade green human eyes before her transformation into a bipedal sphinx. Nowadays, she now had these golden feline eyes, complete with a set of cat-like slits for pupils, as Molly slowly opened her eyes, turning her gaze toward me upon picking up my scent.
Apparently, as a Sphinx, several of Molly's core senses were somewhat enhanced, including her sense of smell, hearing, and sight. Like for example, she can pick up the smell of bacon and blueberry waffles on the breakfast tray, complete with a cup of pulp-free orange juice. From there, Molly sat herself up from the purple and red silk pillows, putting herself in a sitting position on the bed, where she let out a morning yawn while stretching her fur-covered arms and paw-like hands, along with unfolding her wings, before she turned her head toward me and said, "Good morning, Jacob."
"Morning, sweetie." I replied, as I sat beside her on the bed, giving her a passionate and loving kiss on her lips for a moment or two before ending the kiss. However, I noticed that she wasn't wearing.....well, anything really. So, I looked at Molly and asked, "So, um.....How come you're not wearing any, Er....clothes, Molly?"
Believe me, I had a difficult time looking away from Molly's current nudity while I was talking to her. In response, Molly's feline ears lowered slightly, indicating that something was bothering her some, as she let out a sigh and answered, "I....I'm sorry, honey. It's just that.....it doesn't feel right when I was wearing clothes last night. It....it feels so uncomfortable against all of this fur on me. *Sigh* Now I know how it feels when a dog is getting dressed up by their owners in such an embarrassing manner."
Due to reading so many books, Molly's vocabulary and choice of words were something that would make a language professor envious. After all, I still remember Molly leaving our Archeology professor dumbfounded when she outwitted Mr. Sanders on the ancient Egyptian language, especially in translating what the hieroglyphs actually said.
I couldn't help but feel sorry for my beloved Molly. I mean, even after some time had passed since her transformation, Molly was still feeling uncomfortable in her own skin and fur, as her eyes gazed down toward her paw-like hands and the bedsheets. In an attempt to make her feel better, I grabbed both of Molly's anthropomorphic digits with both of my hands, squeezing them gently and replied, "Molly....it's not your fault. I know you're still uncomfortable about going out in public in your current state, but I'll always be by your side no matter what. Okay?"
From hearing my words of reassurance, Molly couldn't help but have this slightly sad but happy expression on her face, where she then proceeded to hug me tightly with her furry arms and paw-like hands and said, "...Thank you, Jacob. It....it means a lot coming from you." "Anytime, Molly. I just want to see you happy, that's all." I answered, wrapping my arms around her in the process, hugging my girlfriend as well.
After all, Molly's been through a lot for the past six months, whether it was from adjusting to her new form, to all the attention she was getting, wanted or not. A minute or two later, Molly and I ended the loving embrace, since she still had to eat breakfast. "Judging from the aroma I'm smelling, I'm guessing you've made me some bacon and blueberry waffles, correct?" She mused, recognizing the smell from the still-warm bacon and fresh blueberry waffles, smirking a little out of feline curiosity.
"Correct as always, hun." I replied, as I grabbed the breakfast tray and placed it on the bed next to her. From there, Molly proceeded to consume the delectable breakfast before her, eat with proper etiquette, which meant eating the waffles with a knife and fork while eating bacon with her paw-like hands, and using a napkin to clean the grease from her fur. However, since I wanted to strike up a bit of a conversation with Molly.....
