The three anthro alligators walked through the sewers for quite some time. They were actually quite spacious, having a circumference of about 20 feet. It made it easy for even the 7-foot Adam to walk through. The problem was that the sewers branched off in endless directions. It was virtually impossible to keep track of which direction they're moving in or where they've been.
"Why would you humans create such a vast underground system just for your waste?" asked Mary Lou eventually.
"It's a very big city, that requires a lot of plumbing," said Adam.
"Yeah, these sewers are big enough for sewer gators to live in easily," said Evelyn.
"Oh please, that's just an urban legend," said Adam, "There's no gators down here...well, except us."
"Why would alligators be in here?" asked Mary Lou.
"Well, as the story usually goes, people buy baby alligators when they're small and cute before they bring them home. Eventually, the alligator becomes too large and the owner flushes them down the toiler into the sewers where they grow bigger," said Adam. Mary Lou gave an extremely cold look at that. "But it's only an urban legend," said Adam quickly, "There aren't any actual alligators down here except us."
Just then, there was a hissing growl not too far away. The trio paused, they recognized that sound, it was a sound Mary Lou had made often enough before she was transformed. The water rippled as elongated forms moved through the water towards them. Maws filled with many sharp teeth opened up as they got closer.
Mary Lou glared before letting out a reptilian roar that translated to 'back off if you don't want to get hurt'. Most of the gators stopped where they were at that. But one larger alligator kept swimming forward. It was easily as large as Mary Lou had been before she transformed. Actually, they were all near Mary Lou's old size, but this one stood out among them. Mary Lou let out another roar, but the alligator just answered with a challenging roar.
Without hesitation, Mary Lou jumped into the water and went straight at the alligator. The beast lunged forwards and snapped at her, but Mary Lou dodged nimbly. The alligator kept trying to get at Mary Lou, but she was able to swim out of its reach before it could get its jaws on her. That wasn't to say she was purely defensive. She landed several blows on the gator's hide with her fists. Eventually, after the gator tried to chomp her yet again, Mary Lou darted in and latched her own jaws around the tip of the gator's snout. It is a well-known fact that a gator's jaw strength is almost entirely in closing rather than opening. And even though she was only a third-alligator now, Mary Lou was more than strong enough to keep her jaws fixed in place. The alligator thrashed around and tried to shake Mary Lou off, but her strong arms allowed her to keep a very strong grip around the gator's snout. The gator's thrashing grew weaker as Mary Lou cut off its air supply. Finally, she hit the gator on the head with her tail and knocked it out.
The other alligators watched the fight quite intensely. When Mary Lou let off a victorious roar, the gators let out hisses of submissiveness. "Wow, Mary Lou, that was amazing," said Evelyn.
"Just because I have tits now doesn't mean I'm soft," said Mary Lou as she looked around at the sewer gators she was now effectively leader of, "You know what? I think I know what we can do with them."
