Mary wheeled and flapped through the sky, following Amy. She was afraid for the child, for herself. Hunters might be after them both now, and the girl was heading back to the farm. What was she doing? She saw the girl dive down into a window, crashing through it. She emerged a moment later carrying the vials, and screeching.
"The vials!" Mary thought. "That might be a chance for us to change back."
The littler gryphon hugged the box to her as she took off into the skies. The two flew for hours, until they were hundreds of miles away. Mary might wonder where they were going as the little creature settled down, squawking at her. Mary landed beside her, the two concealed by trees.
