"Get your hands off her, you animal, " yelled Evelyn, as she pulled Mary Lou's arm off Kim's shoulder.
Mary Lou turned to face her and growled. And the fight resumed, with the girls rolling on the floor as they fought like animals.
Kim just continued to stare at her new body in the mirror. She knew she should be scared, but she was actually a little excited. She had always loved reptiles, especially the big ones like alligators and crocodiles. She had some childish daydreams of living as a reptile, learning more about them from a more personal perspective. And now she had her chance. Her new body actually looked pretty good. She was taller, with a better figure and she had even gained some leaner, dense muscle. She flexed, and felt a small but powerful bicep muscle bulge into a ball. She ripped off the tattered rags of her clothes to get a better look at her body.
Mary Lou glanced at the new girl, flexing and admiring her body in the mirror. She had heard about this girl - this Kim. She had some weird obsession with reptiles. Mary Lou couldn't blame her. They were the best species, after all. But the other Zoo workers had mocked her for her devotion to the creatures. But now Mary Lou thought she might be able to use that obsession to her advantage.
Kim liked her new body, and she wanted to use it to its full potential. But she really had no intention of staying this way. She would happily try it for a while, but she wanted to be sure there was a way to return to normal, to her normal human life. These creatures didn't seem too surprised by their transformation. She suspected that they might know a little bit more about how it worked.
She turned and faced the fighting girls, placing her hands on her wide hips.
"Girls! Stop! I think it is about time we had a little talk, " said Kim.
Mary Lou stopped struggling and stared up at the new girl. She was confident, and not ashamed of her body. Mary Lou decided that she liked her. Evelyn clocked Mary Lou one last time, then stood up.
She walked over to Kim, and apologized. "I am so sorry, Kim. I never meant to hurt you, or get you involved. I never meant for any of this to happen. It is all Mary Lou's fault!"
Mary Lou rubbed her sore jaw.
"My fault?" said Mary Lou, as she jumped up and stomped over to Evelyn. "You were the one who used the shampoo on me in the first place, remember? You were the one who caused all this!"
Mary Lou and Evelyn squared off for a fight, but Kim walked between them and separated them.
"Hold on! Are you telling me the shampoo had something to do with this?" asked Kim.
Evelyn and Mary Lou nodded glumly.
"Okay, why don't you girls tell me the whole story. From the beginning," said Kim.
