Cathy watched with worry as the dice landed on a total of 9. She was about to open her mouth to say something about it, but no sound came out.
"Well that was fast..." Mark frowned, now with his voice returned to him. He glanced at Cathy, "Sorry." Cathy just shrugged, moving her piece along the board, somewhat relieved when she saw it land on a blank space. She glanced towards Alex, indicating that it was her turn.
Taking a deep breath, Alex picked up the dice and rolled to her fate. After everything that had happened. The age changes, the gender change and it's... permanence... she would be done with this game if she could. But that unfortunately wasn't an option.
6. Great. Alex felt herself grow a year older, her body's shape and features becoming more mature and developed. Less cute and more sexy. Granted, she was still only 15 now, but it was still on her mind, even if she didn't want it to be. Sighing, she picked up a Mind Card, that being where her piece had reached after she moved it.
"You deserve some comfort. Here, let me help." Alex was about to ponder what this meant when she suddenly felt a little dizzy. Shaking her head to clear it, she glanced down at herself.
"Oh thank god, i'm a girl again." she breathed a sigh of relief, not taking in the shocked looks on everyone's faces, "What was the card about anyway, I can't tell."
"Alex..." Stella frowned, "Are you feeling alright?"
"Well, i'm back in a body I recognise." Alex grinned, tossing her hair, "So i'd say i'm perfectly fine."
"Except you're not."
"W- what? Did something happen?"
"You're not naturally a girl, Alex."
"W- what do you mean, of course I am-" she froze, a look of horror crossing her face, "It was a Mind Card." she shuddered, "I- I used to be a boy...?"
Megan nodded, still shocked that Alex didn't remember, "You got turned into a girl a few turns ago, then forgot you were ever a boy just now. It's... really, really concerning."
"I'd bet..." Alex said quietly, drinking that in. She didn't feel like she had been a boy at any point. But then again, if it was a Mind Card, how would she know for sure. But that was the problem, she didn't know, and as a result didn't care. She felt comfortable. She had known she used to be a boy before, knowing her, she was probably freaking out and having a breakdown, and she wasn't now, which was good.
"You know what, it doesn't matter," she said finally, "I don't remember that and I feel comfortable now, so whatever."
Stella seemed to half-smile at this, "Well, as long as you're happy, I guess... right guys...?" the others nodded in agreement, even though it was clear that this was going to be difficult for them to comprehend in any measurable way. Looking back, Stella scooped up the dice and rolled for her turn.
12. It looked like Alex would never get her old memories of things back completely.
She frowned, "Well, that was unfortunate."
"It's fine," Alex assured her, "Really, I don't mind anymore anyway."
Stella nodded at this, before moving her piece across the board. It was a 'pick any' space, so that gave her something to think about, at least.
