Amy helps you search, but you never find the keys. Over time, you both begin to spend less and less time looking for the keys, and gradually you begin to accept your new life as a squirrel. And you would have stayed that way forever, if it wasn't for that annoying bird.
A loud bird was spending more and more time in your tree. It seemed to squawk and call all day and night. It was beginning to get on your nerves. It had taken up residence in an old nest high in the tree. If it bothered Amy, she didn't show it. She looked nervously up at the nest, and just suggested we leave it alone, as she felt the bird would eventually leave. But you have had enough. You decide to climb up there and chase it off.
After you chatter at it angrily, the bird flies off. You begin to tear apart the nest, to ensure it will not return, when you find it - the key and the fob! Embedded in the nest, almost like someone was trying to hide it. You slowly pull the key out, examining it in your paws. You can feel the hum of energy, concentrated in the key fob.
You feel yourself being watched, and look up to see Amy looking at you sadly.
"Sam, I can explain," she says.
