Spencer Lawson and Eric Anderson were in the middle of a serious make out session on her living room couch, when he reached out to massage her breasts through the over sized sweat shirt she was wearing while still in her were form to promote faster healing of her injuries after battling and defeating Jeremy Bower (Junior).
While she loved the attention and the feelings Eric raised, Spencer knew it was too soon, both in their relationship and the fact that her boyfriend was still both a virgin and a normal...
"Did I do something wrong?" asked Eric, hoping he didn't offend her.
"No. Your technique was great," replied Spencer, hoping she sounded positive.
"Too soon?"
"Kind of. Only in regards to the fact that..."
"I'm still both a virgin, and a normal. A killer combination in Moon Lake," he said sarcastically.
"I'm certainly more than willing to cure you of the virginity issue," she said with a big smile on her muzzle, "but until we can work out the other matter..."
"I know. I know," said Eric, his mood quickly souring as he sat on the couch away from Spencer.
"Eric, I—" began Spencer, when he cut her off.
"I'm sorry," he said, looking directly at her with a high note of sincerity in his voice. "I know I should have asked first, but sometimes when I'm around you, it's getting to the point that I'm lost in the moment and forget that you're a hybrid were, let alone that we don't know for sure what will happen if the two of us..."
Spencer had already warned Eric of the possible consequences if they had sex. Because of her dual nature, he could either become a werewolf like her father, or else transform into either a bi or outright gay werecat like her mother.
"I made the first move on you, so you have nothing to apologize for," said Spencer, taking Eric's right hand in her left. "I've got some serious feelings for you, and thought of just about nothing else than the two of us while I was in the hospital," when I wasn't trying to deal with the pain or wanting to kill that bastard Bower.
"I know. Every time I'm near you, your tail starts wagging," said Eric with a smile.
"It does?" asked Spencer in surprise, then turned to look and saw that it was. "Well, what do you know."
"I know that I love you and want to be with you. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, in or out of Moon Lake, but we still have to deal with the major obstacle in that path."
She was happy that Eric never mentioned Julie Stovall, the were-mermaid that kept trying to court Eric when he first moved to town, but still...
"You still thinking that a were-panther would be the best companion to my hybrid status?" asked Spencer.
"From a purely logistics position, yes," confirmed Eric. "The panther would match all the feline aspects you favor and still be able to keep up with your werewolf side. Besides, you said that its fur would match yours," he added.
"True, but then again, the fur coloring of whatever were you become might favor your existing hair color," said Spencer, taking the opportunity to move closer to Eric and run her paw through his mop of brown hair.
"Oh?" asked Eric, surprised to hear that. "Anyway, keeping my promise to you about not doing anything about my situation until we talk, I searched the Freshman class. Only three panthers, all male. One does have a younger sister, but she's still in Junior High and it will be at least another year before she's anywhere near her first transformation."
"Dear Eric," said Spencer, pulling him close and hugging him the best she could with just one free arm. "When the time comes, as long as you love me as much then as you do now, will it really matter what kind of were you become?"
"I don't know," was his only answer, as Eric started snuggling against his girlfriend. "As long as we're together..."
Then he reached up and kissed Spencer on the muzzle again.
As Spencer Lawson held her boyfriend close, she paused and thought about the werepanthress Eric's older brother Nate was secretly seeing. Then again, technically I'm not supposed to know about her right now anyway. Besides, even if we could obtain her cooperation, would it be right?
She kissed Eric again, before rubbing a furry cheek against his face, a gesture Eric lovingly returned.
I sure have rotten luck with men. Last time Jeremy, and now I fall in love with a normal. Then again, I actually am IN love with a normal! she realized, as a smile formed on her muzzle. And Eric's genuinely in love with me! as Spencer felt her tail thumping against the couch.

AFTERWARD: DIMENSIONAL DIFFERENCES
Being a hopeless romantic at heart myself, and having recently orchestrated the joining of Eric Anderson with his one true love and soul mate Julie Stovall in the Moon Lake of Earth-1 thread between the episodes "Marco...", "Clearing the water", "...POLO!", "At Last", and "YES!"; I cannot help hoping that Earth-2's Eric finds love and happiness as well somehow in time.
But with Jeremiah Bower, Senior and his fellow ex-soldier Bruce Peterson on their way to extract revenge against the Lawson family and hopefully free Jeremy Bower (Junior) in the process, what happens next for Eric and Spencer and everyone else involved remains to be seen...
