Monica was in need of an advice badly, preferably coming from someone who was her best friend and also took a path to live a life in a body she(now he) was comfortable with. So she called her friend and they have decided to meet outside after Ashley's transformation is done.
On the other hand, Ashley was discharged from genetics lab a few days ago, and her rehabilitation phase was over, which was earlier than Dr. Erlanger expected.
