"Yes," said Matt.
"And it's permanent?"
"I think so... at least, Giles seemed to be implying it was permanent with me. He had a time dilation box... I've been this way over a month."'
The old wizard laughed. "You need not have hidden her, then! Students are allowed ex-human possessions, so long as they consented to being transformed, even if they were female."
"Oh... thank you, thank you, headmaster!"
"There is one caveat, though - she must be unable to move under her own power between the hours of 10 PM and 7 AM. If you are caught" - the headmaster put some emphasis on these four words - "in violation of this policy, she may be confiscated, in inanimate form, for the entire semester."
"Understood."
"Good," said the headmaster. He waved at one of the tardy students, who shrivelled, clothes and all, into a simple black robe. "Now put him on and sit down. Stay after."
The rest of the orientation was rather dull, just an explanation of school policies, course credits, etc. The students filed out at the end, all but Matt, as well as his robe and the two statues. Matt stood up and approached the headmaster.
"You wanted me to stay after, sir?"
"Indeed I did. I need to send you four home, but first, I need to tell you a few things. You and Penny will be able to inflate one another without ill effect. The infirmary, also, can inflate either of you without ill effect. If any human inflates you, they will become a love doll. Unfortunately, we do not have the facilities here to restore anyone transformed in this way, so if you let anyone do this without knowing what they're getting into, you'll be in serious trouble. If you or Penny are inflated by a mechanical pump, you will be unable to move. You can do this to her at night, if you wish, just don't let me catch you" - again he emphasized the word "catch" - "blowing her up yourself."
"All right. I understand."
"Good." And with that, Matt was back in his room, naked again, the folded plastic that used to be his girlfriend at his feet.
