It's been a good three weeks since Grizz and his bros took you off of Damon's hands and you've been working hard since. If it's not working in the stockroom with Snake, it's working in the garage with Grizz and Bull on the weekends. You're learning all sorts of mechanical skills and helping out in their shop. Grizz and Bull and the three other brothers own an auto and motorcycle customizing shop.
In addition to all the work, they've been seeing to it that you've been taking your hormone/protein shakes, taking you on a 5 mile hike once a week and seeing to it that all the muscle groups of your body are well exercised in the weight room. You wake up at 4 am every morning and don't get to bed until around 9 pm.
The food has been plentiful and hearty and between that and the exercise and work, you're starting to fill out.
You met Tiger too. He's the son who isn't around much because his ol' lady keeps him extremely busy. You liked him quite a bit, though you thought the stripes he shaved into his thick black beard were a bit strange.
Tiger was the one that pointed out to you that you need to start shaving the scruff off, apparently he noticed because he hadn't been looking at you every day. You went to look in the mirror and noticed that you have some dark hairs starting on your upper lip and a few on your chin and the occasional one hiding in the peach fuzz on your face.
He told Pops about it and you got your first lesson in shaving from the old gray bearded biker.
After cleaning up you face and taking care of the nicks you dress in your boots, jeans and black T-shirt and head down for breakfast. It's Friday morning and you've got work after upper body weight training and martial arts; all after breakfast, of course.
Grizz is sitting at the table; there's a plate for you with your shake.
"Mornin' Gus." The big man growls in a friendly way.
"Mornin' Grizz." respond and sit down to eat.
As you begin Grizz looks at your face and says, "Nice and smooth. Soon you'll be doin' that every mornin' and when that happens we need to talk about what you want as far as face fur. Every man in the club has face fur as soon as he can grow it. You have any thoughts as to what style you want?"
You're a bit embarrassed and the blushing your doing makes Grizz chuckle.
"Nothin' to be embarrassed about Gus. You're becomin' a man. Bull told me about how long you take in the shower." Grizz says with a big grin and you turn beet red all over which makes Grizz laugh out loud.
Pops comes in at about that time and asks what the joke is. Grizz explains and Pops chuckles a little too.
"You don't need to be embarrassed about that either, Gus. We're all guys here and we've done the same thing. It's as natural as pissin' and a Hell of a lot more fun." He says, puffing on his cigar as he speaks.
“So, what kinda beard or moustache do ya want when you can grow one?” Grizz says as he pops a sausage into his furry face.
You think about it and the image of your grandpa Gustav comes to mind. He had muttonchops with a bushy moustache and a shaved chin.
You describe this to Grizz and he says, “Yeah, I know some bros that have that style. Kinda old fashioned, but cool lookin’. It’ll take awhile for you to get enough beard to do it, but I think by the end of your time with us you’ll manage; especially if you keep drinking two of those a day.” Grizz points to your half-empty glass and you immediately grab it up and down the rest.
The two men chuckle. Pops picks up the newspaper and takes a chair. He’s already had breakfast, but it doesn’t stop him from snagging a piece of bacon from your plate and winking at you. You and Grizz continue eating in silence as Pops reads.
After awhile Grizz gives you a long look and as you're about to ask 'What?' he says, "I think it's time you had a little fun. It's one thing to work on a motorcycle, but it's quite another to be on one."
"You aren't gonna let him ride are you?" Pops says, looking over the top of his paper at Grizz.
"No, I figure we'd start Gus out on an ATV or something and let him graduate to a Hawg later. No, I'm thinking he needs to ride behind me while me and the bros go on a little trip. It'll do him some good to get the road under him for the weekend." Grizz says.
Pops nods, "What did you have in mind?"
"Family trip to the cabin. Drinkin', cards, grillin' steaks, bonefire... the usual. Gus has been working pretty hard and deserves a reward, Hell, so do I for that matter." Grizz says.
"Did you ever get that problem with Damon taken care of?" Pops says casually and Grizz grins widely and looks at you.
"Oh, Damon has made full payment, he's not an issue anymore. He asked about you Gus. I told him that your training was going just fine now that you were being treated like a man and not some fuckin' dog. I punched him in the guts a couple of times, just for good measure, for you." Grizz grins evilly. "Perhaps after you're schoolin' is over with us we can both pay a visit to ol' Damon and you can discuss a few things with him?"
You remain silent. You feel a bit uncomfortable.
Sensing your discomfort Grizz changes the subject, "Well, eat up, Gus! You've got a full day ahead. Here in a bit you and me and Pops need to get down to the basement."
You think about what the weekend will be like as you finish up your breakfast.
