Francis pulled into the driveway of the Twist household, and she climbed out of the car. She sighed as she thought about her interview with Claire. She opened the door to her house and walked in to find her wife, Samantha, eating some breakfast and fully dressed. "Hi honey," Francis said as she walked towards the kitchen.
"Hey, how it'd go? What's the prognosis?"
"Well," Francis responded thoughtfully, "it's complicated."
Samantha smirked and replied, "What else is new?"
Francis chuckled and said, "True. Well, Claire is just a normal college girl who's stupid and loves adventure. Truth be told, this was an accident waiting to happen. She's a bit of a rebel, and well, she's lucky. Things could have been worse. She could have run into a werelion, a weretiger, or even a werebear."
"Oh my," Samantha responded, her mouth forming an oh, and her hand coming up to her mouth.
"Anyway, it was lucky she ran into Eric and Cassie. Anyone else and things could have gone wrong. We'd be facing a different situation."
"Is she aware of the were-situation here?"
"Hard to say, to be honest. I mean, she definitely saw Eric and Cassie, no doubt about that. The problem is that she seems to be suffering from a bit of cognitive dissonance. She saw werewolves, but her brain doesn't want to believe that she saw werewolves. Frankly, she'd accept any explanation of what she saw, no matter how flimsy. On the other hand, if we reveal the truth of this town to her, I have no idea how she'd take it."
Samantha took a bite of her breakfast and chewed for a bit to think, and then asked, "In your opinion, is she a threat to this town?"
Francis thought for a moment, and replied, "She's an adventurous girl who loves to take pictures of animals. If she stays in Moon Lake, it'll only be a matter of time before she takes a picture of a were, and if that gets online, well, I think you know the rest. On the other hand, I don't think she wants to believe that weres exist, and she'll accept any information we give her as long as it leads to that conclusion. The trick will be to get her out of town and have her never return, although from what I can tell, it seems unlikely to happen."
Samantha looked a bit deep in thought, and then looked up and said, "Oh, Martin called. He's expecting your full report, but he wanted to see his daughter first. He'll give us a call when he's ready for us."

Claire looked out the window of her cell to the town. She could see the people walking around the town. She also noticed a few unusual things about these people. The first thing she noticed is that there were few old people. Most of the people that she saw looked no older than 25 at most, and that older people were few and far between. She also noticed that all of the people were, for a lack of better word, attractive. All of the men were stacked and muscular. Some were more muscular than others, but it seemed like all of the men were in shape and worked out all of the time. The women, on the other hand, had curves. All of the women had hourglass figures, and some women seemed to have larger breasts than others. She noticed, though, that all of them were in good shape like all of the men, and their figures were definitely could be seen as attractive.
She heard the cell door open and saw Officer Ryan walk in. "Hey," he said as he walked into the area between the bars of the cell and the door. "I thought you might be a bit hungry." It was then that she saw that he was carrying a tray of food. Claire felt her mouth water and heard her stomach growl.
"I guess I'm a little hungry." Officer Ryan smiled and slid the tray of food in the space under the bars. Claire quickly picked the tray of food up and smelled the food.
"Thank you," she said with some gratitude. Given the happenings of the past few days, this was the nicest thing that someone's done for her. She picked up a biscuit and took a rather sizable bite out of it before taking a quick swig of milk. She then noticed that Officer Ryan was sitting down in a chair near the cell and watching her. "You know," she started to say once her mouth was empty, "You're not bad looking when you're not manhandling me."
Officer Ryan chuckled and smiled at her, "And I'm sure you clean up nice once you're not waving a rifle in my face."
Claire felt her face flush a little as she smiled. She looked down and back up at him, and said, "I'm really sorry about that. I was a bit scared, hearing those wolf howls and who knows what I saw that night. I don't think I was in my right mind."
"Quite all right, ma'am. This place can play tricks on the minds of those who aren't familiar with this place."
"Ma'am?" Claire said with a bit of fake indignation, "Just how old do you think I am? I'm not old enough to be called 'ma'am' yet."
Officer Ryan give his chuckle and smirked at Claire, "Just showing some respect. I'm a bit old-fashioned that way."
Claire smiled at Officer Ryan, "I'll forgive you this time, but only because you're cute." She gave him a wink. She took another bite of her food before she asked, "Do you think they'll let me out of here anytime soon?"
"Well," Ryan said as he started to think, "I honestly can't say. You might be able to leave today, or you might leave tomorrow. It comes down to what the mayor wants to do."
"I see..." Claire said, with a bit of disappointment in her face. She wasn't looking forward to spending the entire day in this cell.
