"I think I have an idea," Jen said.
"Look, I know what he did was wrong, but please don't be too harsh on him."
"He's an asshat who tortured-"
"Yeah, I know. But he's my brother." Kelly looked away and said, "I can do it. I'll just... curse him to be more moral. Not to do bad things. Something like that."
Jen stopped and looked at Kelly. "See, this is why they call people like you the better half." Jen bent down and kissed her.
Kyle stopped in shock at the sight of the girl who had one-upped him and his sister in a loving embrace. He stood there, mental cogs whirring, as they broke off and noticed him.
"Kyle," said Kelly, "Transform or Dare?"
He chose the least damaging option. "Dare."
"I dare you to be kind er and more moral. I dare you to be the kind of person to whom it would never occur to torture Jen with her own sexual fluids, or take revenge on her in general."
There was the briefest of pauses as his brain rearranged. Then he looked at Jen and began crying. "I'm sorry," he repeated catatonically.
Kelly sat down. "I know." She hugged Kyle softly as tears streamed down his face.
Jen stood resolutely, trying to decide whether or not to forgive him. If that was even the right word. After all, he was hardly the same person, but that did not change the memories of that face, taunting, as she struggled against the rope...
In the end, all it took to decide was the pleading facial expression on Kelly's face. Jen crossed the room and locked eyes with Kyle.
No longer did he seem so confident or malicious.
"Oh, for fuck's sake," she muttered under her breath, "I forgive you."
Kyle - the new Kyle, she reminded herself - sniffled. "Really?"
"Yes. Now please stop crying."
As Kelly smiled at her, Jen knew that what she had done was right. She only wondered what came next.
