When Lucie & Tabby exited the police station, Samantha Twist was still there, waiting for them. “Now, about those Journals…”
Before Ms. Twist could finish her sentence, Lucie took a notebook out of her pocket and handed it to the town chancellor. “Those are my notes about the potions, including copies of the recipes, and where the information came from. Most of my sources are in Moon Lake's library, wrongfully classed as ‘historical fictions’, but I also found some in the Halberds private library. In the late case, I took the liberty to note their exact emplacement, which shouldn't have changed.” Before departing, she asked “Do you want the vials in which I contained the two potions?”
“I would be appreciated,” confirmed Samantha, while Tabby was surprised to learn she had such books at home.
“We need to go back home, to collect everything susceptible to have my old DNA on it for the hospital. Should we come back here to give the vials?” Asked Lucie.
“No,” answered Samantha “give them to the hospital too, I'm sure Dr. Tucker* would like to have a look at it.”

Once home, Lucie took a bag and trowed in it her old toothbrush (she used a new one since her change) and her hairbrush (she hadn't got the time to use after waking-up), then took the two empty vials, taking care to reseal both before placing each in a different pocket.
Only once they had collected all this did they exit the house, going in the hospital direction.
Taking the bus to go there, Tabby used their commute time to catch up, since they hadn't chatted much since she had become a werecat, and didn't get the time to since Luc became Lucie. At some point, Tabby asked her friend if she would be willing to have a threesome with a man someday, to which Lucie made a slight grimace before saying “I would prefer to have it with another girl instead.”
At this point Lucie rested her head on Tabby's shoulder and said “You know, when you revealed to me your bisexuality, I accepted what it mean, that I would have to share you with other if I wanted you to be happy. Just like I accept you still need a man from time to time, even if I'm not one anymore.”
A single tear ran on Tabitha's cheek. “You don't seem to understand Lucie. I tried doing it with other men, since you wouldn't indulge me during those two years, but I could never go through it, because they weren't YOU!”
Seeing how sad Tabby suddenly was, Lucie wanted to reveal what her totem had said, that she wasn't really Luc, but a new being born from gluing together the broken remain of his mind, but choose against it, fearing how the love of her lives would react. So instead, she simply took Tabby in her arms, letting her cry her pain away.

Tabby felt a bit better and entered the hospital with, as strange as it may seems, with a timid smile.
Once the two girls reached the reception office and stated the reason of their presence, they expected to simply be asked to depose the samples and vials. Instead, they were asked to wait for a Dr. Kathy Tucker.
Dr. Tucker had recently become something of a public figure after her role in maintaining alive the former Rick Plunkett after he got contaminated by another woman-only strand of the were virus. Between a rare genetic condition, Dr. Tucker's efforts in rescuing him and the experimental serum of a mad scientist, Rick had become a teenage girl named Rikki, and the doctor's adoptive daughter.
Once alerted of their presence, it didn't take long for Kathy Tucker to come collect Lucie and Tabitha and guide them to her desk, the room just beside her lab. “Miss Damocles, I want to speak of the final results of the tests we practiced after your induction into were society, and I think miss Halberd should hear it too.”
Is there a problem? “Asked the two girls, fearful.”
“No, I confirm that miss Damocles is healthy, along with entirely and utterly female, which in itself is mind unbelievable. But there is other point that make things even less believable that I would like to discuss.”
