Sammy hoped they record the furs in space making friends with the space men already on the space station.
Samuel The Human, heck, Sammy before he had left Frankie Town, would have questioned how Joey the Bison even got his helmet on, but now Sammy The Fox didn't so much as think about it, he'd gotten it on, so obviously he could take it off later if he wanted.
However, seeing the space-furs, did awaken one spark of curiosity in him. He wondered, 'Can our diapers be taken off?' Sammy tested it then and there in the seats of the rocket play set.
Taking his diaper off in the crowd didn't get a single reaction out of anyone except Jessy.
"Whatcha' doin'?" Jessy asked causally.
"Just seein' if our diaper came off," Sammy said calmly. With his diaper at his paws he stepped out of it, and picked it up. Seeing how it looked perfectly clean like it was brand new.
Satisfied that yes, they could take off their diapers if they wanted, Sammy put his back on without missing a beat.
Alfred saw what Sammy had done, and repeated it, seeing if he could take diaper off with the large tail hole in it. Like Sammy, he had no trouble taking it off. Alfred put it back on with no fur even giving him a double take.
Sammy wondered, "If I took my diaper off and left it here... and then put a new piece of cloth around me later... would it turn into a new diaper?"
"I bet Doctor Sammy would wanna figure out how that magic works," Jessy said.
"Doctor Sammy?" Alfred asked.
"A friend who wants to figure out how baby furs work." Sammy explained.
"Cool!" Alfred was curious at the idea, and they gave Alfred where Doctor Sammy lived so he could be one of her test subjects.
"Isn't it funny how there are baby furs who aren't actually furry?" Jessy asked as they left the base, eating a pair of hot dogs.
"That is surprising." Sammy said.
"Do you think there are octopus baby furs?"
"I dunno. .... Frogs breath air, so I guess they were okay. At least there aren't any bug baby furs, that would be too weird."
"Really too weird." Jessy agreed. "Do you think there are any fish baby furs?"
"That would... they'd be stuck in the water all day, since fish breath water, so I don't think that would be very fun for them."
Jessy nodded.
"So! Are we off again to find the first fur?" Jessy asked.
Sammy thought about how the First Fur was becoming like the Wizard of Oz, with all the amazing things she might be able to do. Except he'd met some one who'd met her before, namely Amy, so he knew the first fur wasn't some old man behind a curtain at least.
And whole they were making lots of new friends, it was staying just Sammy and Jessy rather than growing in a big group going to see the first fur.
And from what Amy said, Sammy wasn't the first baby fur who had ideas like his who wanted to go see the first fur for the exact same reasons. Amy said she'd had the exact same reasons as him... Still, Sammy had come all this way, it didn't feel right for Sammy to just turn around and go back to Frankie Town now.
And with how baby furs were getting to be more of by the day, he wondered how many there were of them now.
Sammy looked around, and spotted a sign to My-yam-me, but also a sign with a familiar mouse head logo on it, and then he thought about Ziggy and Silly, and her magic color changing booth.
