"How about we just lie around the house?"
"That sounds fan-tastic!" Exclaims Ruby as she flops onto the couch.
Just then, your mom came in holding an old jewelry box.
"Oh, I'm so proud of you girls. I'm gonna continue the tradition that my grandmother started- every girl in this family on the day after her graduation gets a ring from Great-Great-Grandma Beatrice's jewelry box." She said. Beatrice had been the wife of a wealthy merchant and had had countless rings.
Your mom opened the box and you see a virtual sea of gold and silver and gems. However, you feel drawn to one ring in particular. You're not sure, but it feels like it's calling to you. Your sister grabs a large gold ring with (quite obviously) a ruby fixed upon it. You, however, pick out a slim silver ring with a small white stone. You slip it on and, to your surprise, the stone turns purple.
You hear a voice in your head. "This ring changes more than its color. The wearer of this ring can change reality in any way they see fit."
Your mom gives you each a hug and returns the jewelry box the its proper place. Meanwhile, you pincer the ring. Could it really change reality? There's only one way to find out. You look into the stone and think to yourself, "My sister is named Sapphire and has everything in Blue, not Red." You feel a sudden turn in your stomach and look up to see your sister in blue footie pajamas and with a large sapphire in her ring. Your ring truly is magical!
