You stop in front of the hole and look down, being careful not to get too close. It's about six by six feet, and it's pitch black in there. There's no way of knowing how deep it is. Curious, you pick up stone and drop it into the inky blackness. It falls out of sight and you wait for the thunk of it hitting the bottom. Five minutes later, it still hasn't come.
Suddenly, you start to feel uneasy. This hole just seems... unnatural. Like it just appeared just so only you could stumble upon it and... fall into it? Gulping, you back away.

In his attempt to catch the ball, he has smacked into you. Reeling from the blow, you stumble around with your hands over your eyes until your foot hits nothing. Screaming, you tumble into the hole.
Still screaming, cold air rushes past you as you fall for god knows how long. After an eternity seems to have passed, you hit something very soft and get the wind knocked out of you. Groaning, you roll onto your back and lay on the soft thing, looking at the tiny sliver of light high above you. You roll off the soft thing and see it's a mattress. It's still pitch black in here.
Suddenly, a torch-like chandelier lights to life above you. Rubbing your head, you examine your surroundings.
You're in a small cave-like room. Right beside the mattress is another hole with a frayed rope ladder leading into the dark. Ahead of you is a door (that's open) that you can see stairs leading up in. A door behind you has pictures of a spider, a wasp, and an ant on it. Discarded by an earlier visitor, an ice axe and a pick lie in the corner.
Still realling from the blow, you decide it's best to...
