The net can't support your new increased weight. With a groaning noise, the patchwork of vines snap one after the other. Screeching, you lunge at the wall, looking for something to grab, but to no avail. The net gives way and you fall for another five minutes. During that time, you feel yourself shrinking. Your fur grows thicker into a luxurious glossy black coat. Your face pushes out even more and long tail snakes out of your rear, flicking around. Your arms and legs shorten as your shrink more.
You hit the next net (made of yellow vines this time) and spy a #2 written on the wall. You've become a monkey about half the size of a human. You might as well go all the way, right? Using your new limbs (now more suited to climbing than walking) you crawl over the vines, gnawing at them with your small fangs until they snap and you fall again.
You grow VERY small, now no more bigger than a large mouse. Your fur grows even thicker and turns gray. Your face pushes put all the way into a rat-like muzzle and your thighs thicken and attach to your stomach as whiskers grow out of your face. With a tiny squeak, you hit red vines and see a #3 on the wall. Since you are so small, there is no need to chew now. You jump in between the patchwork and fall deeper.
You are surprised when you start growing larger. MUCH larger. Your fur is engulfed in a tidal wave of greenish-gray lizard scales. Your front and back legs thicken with muscle and extend. Your tail grows thick to and all your fur falls out. Your stomach barrels out and your neck thickens and extends. Your eyes turn yellow and your teeth grow lethally sharp. Your face pushes out more and you hit something solid this time. You let out a reptilian hiss of pain and get up and examine your body. You're a Saint-Bernard size lizard-like creature. You crawl around the chamber on your for legs and examine it.
To the left is a net that goes even deeper. There is a spiral staircase ahead with a sign on the wall next to it. It has a red arrow pointing up and a it says "Evolve" on it. Another door, unmarked, is on your right.
Your reptilian eyes spot an ant colony in the corner. You briefly black out. When you come to, your stomach is tight and filled with insects and you are licking your mouth with your long tounge. You're slowly becoming like the common ancestor all animals toady had! You need to do something.
You eye your three options...
