Kayla had a prideful look on her eyes. She was looking at James like if he was her Mona Lisa. She crouched and became closer to him. Seeing her so nearby left him anxious and James stepped back. What he thought it was a step had actually been a hop.
“Oh, little fella, you’re not used to that body are you?”
She presented him her hands and James trusted her. He had been turned into a frog, she was certainly not the nicest witch, but he had to trust her if he ever wanted to go back to normal again. Her hands were very soft, unlike his new warty skin.
“You’re a very cute frog I must confess. James, I’m terribly sorry but I have don’t have more time. I’ll take you to my trailer and leave you safe in a terrarium. I’ll come back to turn you back I promise.”
No! That wasn’t the plan. James had to return home, he had his own life to go. He had only said yes because Kayla was hot and he thought he had a shot with her. That was it!
Like she said, she took him in her hands. James didn’t see the way. When there was light he was already inside what looked to him like a studio with oversized furniture. She passed through a kitchen space, a small uncomfortable sofa to the end –her bedroom which a gypsy themed decoration. There was a little shelf by the bed, and between books an aquarium with gravel and water. She tossed James on. He fell on muddy water that was actually very pleasant to his skin.
“I know you can listen me” she advanced. “Please, don’t run away. If you want…you can hop out of the shelf and serve yourself on the crickets that are inside the matches’ box. I’ll be going now!”
Crickets?! Ewww…James couldn’t believe it. He just wanted to nick her.
