Let's Talk, Part 1 (Moon Lake of Earth-3)

added by The Masked Writer 7 years ago O

Okay folks. Even if Claire Robertson successfully runs her errand to Moon Lake General Hospital and back, she still has a long walk ahead of her, so let's look in on some of our other story lines/cast members right now...

Barbara wasn't surprised to hear her telephone ring. It was still relatively early in the evening, even by normal human standards, but she was surprised to see who the Caller ID said was calling.
"Hey Ryan. What's up?" she asked, answering the phone.
"I... If you don't mind, I just needed someone to talk to for a moment," said the voice on the other end.
"Okay. Everything alright?" she asked her fellow werewolf.
"It's Claire. I think she's decided to become a weretigress," revealed Ryan, before telling Barbara about the phone call he just received from her.
When Ryan finished bringing Barbara up to date, she said, "Well, Claire does know that if there's any hope of having a future with you, let alone sex, that she'd have to become a were at some point, right?"
"Yes," agreed Ryan. "I know all the basics. It will still be Claire post transformation, and I'm still very interested in her. It's just that..." then words failed him.
"I think I understand. You were not only hoping that Claire would chose to be a fellow werewolf, but that you'd get to be the one that ushered her into were society. Right?"
"Yeah," confirmed Ryan.
"Well you of all people, being a police officer, should know the rules," Barbara reminded him. "But there's also no rule that says you can't talk to Claire before she goes furry for the first time."
"Really?" asked Ryan.
"Claire may still decide to go for stripes," Barbara said, using their old high school term for the weretigers, "but she should know how you feel about her and everything else. Or have you been too bashful and shy to speak up, as usual."
"The latter," confessed Ryan. "But it's probably already too late," he pointed out.
Barbara thought about that for a moment and said, "I don't think so. Claire's taken this long to make a decision, that there's one prerequisite she has yet to acquire. The birth control pill for whatever species she wants to become."
"Oh my. That's right!" realized Ryan. "And no self-respecting were will change her unless she has it. But does that mean I have till tomorrow? After all, where could you get a prescription this time of night?"
"Men," said Barbara. "If the weretigers are still holding their meetings in the usual place, and I haven't heard otherwise, then Claire's on her way to Moon Lake General to—"
"So what should I do?" asked Ryan, interrupting Barbara even as he made sure he had his wallet and car keys.
"Go find her and tell Claire how much you love her you big dope!" replied Barbara. "Start at their meeting place and work your way to the hospital. Unless she gets a ride, you should see Claire walking somewhere along the way. But remember, Claire may still decide to become a weretigress, but you want to make sure she knows how you feel about her, let alone that she's chosen the right fursona for herself."
"Okay. Thanks Barabara," said Ryan, before hastily hanging up and running out the door to his apartment.
I hope everything works out for you two, thought Barbara, as she hung up her phone. But regardless of what fursona Claire adopts, I hope she might be up for a threesome between all of us someday, she added, feeling herself starting to get horny. Again.

MEANWHILE...
Cassie O'Sullivan smiled as she saw the Caller ID on her phone reveal her boyfriend Eric Anderson was calling her.
Alone in her room after dinner with her mom, Cassie didn't hesitate to answer as she said, "Hello Eric," before blowing him a kiss.
"Listen, do you have time to talk? Something important's come up over here," he said.
"Okay," she replied, laying down in her bed. Cassie remembered the urgent text Ben got asking him to bring the Anderson boys home immediately, despite it claiming everything was okay. "What's up?"
Then Eric told his girlfriend the whole story about how his mother would be gracing the Anderson family with a brand new baby sister to be named Wilma mid-summer.
"Oh wow. Really? Congratulations," said Cassie. "So does that make me a future aunt or..."
"Yeah. Someday. After college and the two of us, you know," he agreed, not wanting to think that far ahead right now about someday marrying Cassie, despite how wonderful that sounded.
"You sound kind of off about this whole thing. Thought you'd be more upbeat about it," observed Cassie.
"Yeah. Me too. Obviously, Wilma's impending arrival emphasizes the absence of my dad," Eric pointed out.
"I can see that. If my mom found out she was pregnant with dad's last child shortly after he was killed, I'd be a little melancholy myself right now too," agreed Cassie.
"And I've also been thinking about us."
"OH?"
"Not that I haven't enjoyed all our time together since you and I first... you know," said Eric.
"You can say the word sex over the phone. I bet if I was standing in front of you right now, you'd be blushing," replied Cassie.
"Probably. But I got to thinking. I'm not ready to be a father."
"And I certainly don't want to be a mother before I've graduated medical school and have established my practice at Moon Lake General," Cassie reminded him.
"I do want to keep seeing you, and have that future we've talked about. It's just that..."
"Eric Anderson, I am not about to forget or miss a birth control pill. Besides knowing how important they are to our future, there is no way my mom would ever let me leave the house each morning without taking one," said Cassie.
"Yeah. With everything going on, I forgot about her," confessed Eric. "But it's just that whenever I see you... You're so beautiful and important to me. Yet both my heart and another part of my body start talking at the same time and..."
"It's just our were libidos. If it's that important to you, we can take it down a notch," offered Cassie. For now. "But there is no way I'm going to go through a day without seeing you, or kissing you, or being with you whenever I can," she vowed.
"We do have a couple of classes and Freshman lunch together, besides our budding Homework Club," Eric pointed out to her.
"I know. But I'm going to say something to you now that I hope you listen very closely to."
"What?"
"I love you Eric Anderson."
He didn't hesitate to reply. "I love you too Cassie O'Sullivan."
"There. Problem solved. Anything else I can help you with tonight my dashing werewolf?" she asked, knowing Eric would be in her thoughts and dreams all night long, but hoping for the real thing the next time they were alone outside of school.
"No. You have certainly raised my spirits immensely," replied Eric. And something else too, he silently added, feeling the growing bulge in his pants. He knew how he would fall asleep tonight. Furry, after taking matters into his own paws, and wishing Cassie was actually with him after all.
