Emily and Anthony looked at the various shoes in the closet but eventually they brought out what looked to be two pairs of worn converse high top sneakers.
"Wow, these look like they've already been worn," Emily said. The rubber was scuffed, the color was faded and the stickers almost seemed to be coming off.
"Phew, they smell like it too," Anthony said.
Jennifer folded her arms. "Well it figures since you two are kids, they'd be worn. Kids shoes dont last forever." She said.
The kids knew she had a point, but they still weren't sure. "Do we haveta' wear em?" Anthony asked.
Jennifer grinned noticing how he whined like a child, but nodded. The two sighed and slipped their feet into the dusty shoes. Almost immediately as they laced them up, the shoes shifted around their feet and became comfortable, familiar. The two kids thought now that these were their own shoes....but that wasnt all. All memory of their adult selves faded. They forgot that they were parents, and instead thought themselves as twin siblings.
Tony looked at Emmy. "Moooom, Emmy is sticking out her tongue at me!"
"Am not!" She said.
Jennifer was ecstatic. Now her parents really were kids! She was in charge....
