The Zoo

All the Zoo's a Gym Locker... or Luggage.

added by A. Nonymous 7 years ago A BM

"If we get to security and unlock everything, we should be able to cover our escape," you say. The adrenaline pumping through you was feeling better and better as the moments passed.

Rahela grins, "Oh, I'm liking that idea." She pulls the guard closer to herself, "Where are the controls to the cage locks?"

The woman winced as her leg shifted. "Down the hall. Second right, first door on the left, but I-."

"Shhhhh..." Alexis said, putting a claws finger on the guard-woman's lip. "That's all we needed." She glanced over the woman's body briefly. "For now."

Your group followed the prisoner's instructions, finding a door with another card lock on it. Rahela swiped her security card through, and the lock clicked. As soon as the door started to open, bullets erupted out, almost hitting you in the head. Rahela stepped back waiting for a pause in the fire and then opened fire into the room herself. With a grin, she pushed the door open the rest of the way and stepped in.

Inside where two armed guards. One was on the ground, dying. The other had been hit a few times in the stomach, but was still conscious and in pain. He had dropped his gun to the floor. Dawn picked it up and then began turning it around, examining the device. Behind the seated guard who was still alive, was a wall of monitors showing large amounts of the park. From a brief scan, you even could see Joy and Anna having an argument near Anna's cage while two armed guards have rifles pointed at the human-formed werewolf. Anna was slowly backing up into her cell.

Rahela grabbed the breathing guard. "Which button unlocks all of the cages?" she growled, her fangs lengthening.

The man blinked as he continued to contort in pain. "Wha-... There is no button like that. WHY would we have a button like that?"

Alexis grimaced. "Movies have lied to us yet again."

Dawn stepped around and started looking over the computer screens beneath the monitors. She typed 'help' in and then started reading, typing, and reading again.

"Shit," muttered Rahela. "So much for that plan."

"Not quite," said Dawn. "You can't unlock all of the cages from here, but we can unlock the secondary doors to all of the different exhibits, like the ones leading into the various viewing areas or secured hallways." She blinked, typed a few things again, then smiled. "And we can reprogram the combinations to unlock the cages." She typed a few more things in, then started repetitively hitting up and return over and over.

"What are you doing?" the female guard asked puzzled.

Dawn finished. "The card-swiped locks are open, but the combination keypads on the cages are not. However I just set all numeric combination locks in the park to 1-2-3-4-5. They can be easily opened by anyone on the outside. Even the doors leading off of the property are unlocked."

Alexis laughed. "Or those few cages that have combination locks on the interior. Where's the PA system? I know a few who have those for cases where 'visitors' and 'clients' need to let others know when they are done being entertained."

"Please, don't," the woman said.

"One second," said Rahela after seeing a group of people charging down a hall on one of the monitors. She stepped out and opened fire. Through the camera's view, you see four or five men fall as they turn a nearby corner. "It's not my claws or fangs... but I am SO enjoying this."

Dawn typed a few things in, and then handed a microphone to Alexis. "This panel shows the list of the cells you mentioned. Press the ones you want to talk to and then-"

"At some point you're going to have to tell me how you know all of this," Alexis interrupted, then she pressed all of the buttons. "Anyone who wants to escape, the code to your cell's inside lock is 1-2-3-4-5. Enjoy." She put down the mic. Sure enough on the monitors, a small collection of what looked like humans or humanish animals moved to their front doors and pushed buttons letting them escape. Oddly, you saw two separate ones who reacted to hearing Alexis' voice pause, and then remain where they were. One of them was a pale beautiful woman bathing naked in a tub of dark red liquid, and the other was a man in a cell similar to Anna's, except he was sitting in a rocking chair reading a book.

At that moment, you noticed Joy walking past the rocking-chair man's viewing area from another room. She glanced in his direction. He nodded to her, but Joy headed over to another door with a card-swipe. She almost swiped the card down, then paused. Pulling the card back, she looked at the green line on the scanner for a moment, then pulled open the door. She quickly turned around to look at the man reading. He looked to her, and shrugged. Joy turned around and ran back the way she came, to a joining room between the one cell and Anna's. The guards watching Anna through her now-closed cell turned their attentions to Joy. Anna began to move towards the back of her habitat.

"I think part of our trick has been discovered," you tell the others. Then you see Anna slowly try pushing against a panel. By the expression of shock on her face, she didn't expect it to open, but it did. With the guards out of the room, following Joy through service passages, Anna slipped out unnoticed... except by you. "This is getting more interesting."

At that point, the supposed freshly dead body on the ground grabs your leg and bites deep. You cry out in pain.
