The guard's face had changed into the bestial dog-like shape, and spotted fur began to grow around its snout. The shot male guard pushes his chair back in shock as Rahela steps forward, clubbing the thing in the face several times. The creature tries to claw at you with its growing claws, but several extra bullet shots to the face causes it to collapse again.
"What the hell?" said the shot man asked confused. "But that...? Keith? What...? How...?"
"You didn't know about this?" you shot at him as you nurse your leg. It was throbbing.
"NO!" he shouts. At which point he looked to the female guard. "May, did you?"
The woman shook her head.
Dawn meanwhile inspects the creature to make sure it was completely dead. "He'll regenerate if we don't fully kill him, but it will take a bit. I suggest we leave. But first..." She looks to your injury and then to Rahela. "Cover me. I need to get something from the lab." She runs out.
Rahela sighs, and fires a few more shots down the direction in case more guards were coming.
Alexis sniffs the bleeding creature. "Hyena," she wrinkles her nose. "Wretched, but when did they escape?"
In shorter time than you expected, Dawn returned with several large syringes. She put a hand up and pushed you lightly back. "Pull your pants down."
"What?" you ask. The smell of blood and females was overpowering all of your senses.
"Werehyenas are sterile. After one escaped five months back, they have been secretly and carefully increasing their numbers in the zoo. I was initially working on curbing the sexual reproductive activity for wererabbits, but after they discovered I had found them out, they infected me with a sample I was planning on using on subjects I sent free admission tickets out to. Then they started using me to come up with a way to cure their sterility issues." Not waiting, she quickly undid your zipper and pulled your pants down. "Your infection hasn't settled yet. I might be able to use your other infections to combat any sterility issues." Then she pulled out one of the large needles and began aiming for one of your testicles.
"W-w-w-wait," you say. "You mailed me the tickets?"
"Yes," she said, pausing. "I was hoping you and one other would show up. I would be able to follow you with a special tracker in your ticket. Don't worry. Even the zoo didn't know about it. I'd pick the two of you up, infect you with the rabbit variant, and set the two of you up as mates so we could conduct tests?"
Alexis grinned. "And if he brought a boy friend instead?"
Dawn shrugged. "It wouldn't matter. The rabbit variant is based on the needs of reproduction. One infected by a female will become male if not already. If one is infected by a male, they will become female." She sighs. "Unfortunately the one I took the sample from was male. They infected me because once I knew what they were doing, I killed the wererabbit itself. I had already sent the tickets out at that point, but they got a hold of the sample."
Alexis frowned. "How many werehyenas are about then?"
"I don't know. Dozens. Not everybody. They kept their numbers strategically low but in proper places. They're searching funds from the zoo's research for their own aims. I don't know how high the infections have gone, but I don't think they've gone outside of this franchise of the corporation yet." She turned back towards you. "Now, let me inject you, or else you're never going to have children again." She re-aims the needle at once of your balls.
