While the hunt for Ulysses was continuing in Seattle, back in Moon Lake, Tad was spending some time to get to know Amy's two younger brothers.
Leon and Jay grabbed their plates from off the kitchen counter and sat in the seats across from Amy and Tad. As Jay took a bite of his toast, Leon couldn't help but stare at Tad, like he was an undiscovered creature. Tad happened to notice this.
"Is something wrong Leon?," he asked.
"What? Oh...sorry for staring," Leon said, sounding a little embarrassed, "I was just wondering...when did you first transform?"
"Well," Tad said, "I was about 14 when I transformed. I remember having strange dreams and I felt different when I woke up. I told my parents and my dad took us up to the mountains for the weekend. When the time came for me to change for the first time, my dad sat next to me and slowly changed with me. It was great transforming for the first time, and the small amounts of pain only added to it for whatever reason."
"So when do you think we'll change?," Jay asked, butting into the conversation.
"You guys will transform when it's time," Tad said, "And you'll be great werewolves one day. I'm sure you'll love being in our pack. There are so many other werewolves, and it's amazing being there with others like you."
"Now I can't wait until we transform!," Leon exclaimed, high-fiving Jay.
