"Uh, honey, please don't joke with me. Remember you're my daughter and you just used that ring of yours to wish us both to be the same age?" Kellie said trying to get her daughter's memory into gear.
"What? Daughter? Kellie, seriously have you been drinking again after work? I thought I got you to quit." Katie said as she then looked down at herself and saw what she was wearing.
"Whoa! Have I been drinking? Why am I wearing something meant for an elementary student?!" Katie asked Kellie shocked at her attire.
"Come on, Katie, try and think you came home and showed me that ring you got and you proved to me it makes wishes come true." Kellie said to Katie trying to get her to remember.
"Wishes, right. The only thing I wish for is clothes that actually fit me and are for someone my age." Katie said brushing off what Kellie said as her ring granted her wish and gave her clothes that fit.
"There! See, you wished for new clothes and you got new clothes." Kellie said pointing out Katie's age fitting clothes she now sported.
Katie looked down at herself to see the clothes she had on, but didn't have any response to it.
"Katie, tell me, do you remember what your mother looks like?" Kellie asked her.
"I can't quite remember that far back since I was little back then, but she did look a little bit like you when she was younger." Katie said.
Kellie then realized what had happened, Katie had wished herself to be older, but when she became older, her memories from when she was young faded away and now she had new memories.
"Wait, that's it! Katie, use the ring to wish you were young again." Kellie pleaded.
"Young? Kellie, please that only happens in some silly kids books."
"Katie please, just trust me and make a wish."
"You want me to make a wish? Fine I'll make a wish. I wish you...." Katie wished sounding a little annoyed.
