I quickly wish for the woman to become clad in the outfit she was just wearing and that no one but I would have any memory of the event. I turn to sit down and the nearby bus stop to give myself a chance to think. "If I truly have unlimited power, then I have to decide what I want to do with the world. If there are limits then I have to know what those limits are," I think to myself as I study the plain band. I quietly whisper under my breath, "I wish I knew what limits there are on the power of this ring."
Instantly I knew that the ring truly had no limits. I could do absolutely anything I could dream of. The possibilities rocked me for a moment. Even more than my own personal gain, I could turn the world into anything. I could end wars, poverty, and famine. I could fix economies and truly make the world a better place.
It was a huge amount of responsibility, but I was eager to get started. I knew I needed to start small though, just to get the hang of using the magic. The first thing I had to do was be able to protect myself. I decided on an obvious answer, "I wish I had complete control over my body, able to change any facet of myself including size, shape, age, and gender in an instant without any pain or suffering." I glanced at my body and didn't notice anything having changed, but I hadn't specified an actual change, just the ability to make changes. Glancing at my hands I thought about how I would like to have my fingernails grow out a bit and in an instant they were nearly an inch long. I reverted them back to their original length and looked around me.
Cars spewing pollution everywhere, criminals preying on the weakest members of humanity, corporations screwing over everyone in the name of massive bankrolls... Where to start?
