The (brown stuff) hits the proverbial fan (Moon Lake of Earth-2)

added by The Masked Writer 7 years ago O

While the Principal of Moon Lake High School was discussing the current situation about Julie Stovall with her parents while waiting for the Sheriff to arrive*, the Vice Principal was trying to contact Eric Anderson's parents to apprise them of the situation.

After their wild, passionate evening in the basement of their home, Martha and William Anderson reluctantly reverted back from their werefox fursonas, got dressed, and had a quiet dinner together before retiring to bed for the night, although it was quite awhile before either of them actually got some sleep.
The next morning at breakfast, having seen neither son in person, or in fur in Nate's case since he was also a werewolf, they were a bit concerned to see Eric limping a bit when he came to breakfast, but were assured by both boys it was an accident in the backyard and that their youngest son was fine.
William Anderson had to excuse himself from the Shakespearean Literature class he was teaching at Moon Lake College and took the call in the hallway. Third grade teacher Martha Anderson was thankfully at lunch with her elementary school students, so was able to talk as soon as she found a private spot in the cafeteria.
But both parents were highly concerned once they discussed the situation with the Vice Principal.

"But Eric's all right?" both would ask, repeatedly, during the conversation, Martha more than William.
"Yes. Physically, he's fine. Emotionally, he's obviously upset about being attacked, let alone who his attacker was; but privately I must congratulate you on raising such a fine son. He showed great restraint not lashing out in retaliation to defend himself, especially for a werepanther."
"There must be some mistake. Eric's still a normal right now, although he has been in serious discussion with his girlfriend Spencer Lawson about getting his own fursona," both would tell the Vice Principal, "so they can be completely together, if you know what I mean," William would add during his conversation.
"Well, my notes must be incorrect. We're still trying to sort things out here at the moment," the school official said by way of apology. Although I could of sworn the boy smelled like one when he walked passed me...
"Understandable. So what do I do now?" both parents would ask. "Do you need me to come down there or..."
"While Eric's fine, that may be advisable under the circumstances, at least to confer with Principal Andrews and the Sheriff, who will be here soon to launch an official investigation in case Julie Stovall is facing possible Statute 1-A violations."
"ONE-A?" William and Martha would exclaim when they heard the news, for before they joined the Skulk together and became a bonded life/mate couple* they were explained all the rules of Moon Lake, ESPECIALLY the one about how a were was NEVER supposed to change an unwilling normal.
"I'll be there as soon as I can!" each Anderson promised, before hanging up and making arrangements with their respective superiors to leave their schools and head for the high school.
After each talked to the Vice Principal, Martha called William, who said he was already on his way and would meet his wife there.
I wonder if there's more to the "softball" incident that Eric and Nate let on this morning, wondered William and Martha as they prepared to check on Eric and decide whether or not to press formal charges against Julie Stovall.

MEANWHILE...
Melissa and Martin Stovall were beside themselves. Julie had been acting odd for weeks, even before she cheated on Eric Anderson and the boy broke up with her. Now this...
"And besides the school security camera footage from the cafeteria, we have the eyewitness testimony of several teachers, because Eric and another student named Frieda Knight were sitting next to each other across from the teachers' table when Julie... made her scene."
"Wait a second. Did you say Frieda... Knight?" asked Martin.
"Yes. Why? Do you know the Knights?" asked Principal Andrews.
"Somewhat," admitted the mayor of Moon Lake as he felt his head throb and his stomach churn.
Unlike her parents, Frieda seriously tried to downplay her importance, but after the Tachibanas and Tachibana Enterprises, Benton and Amanda Knight along with Knight Industries were the second richest and most influential family and company in Moon Lake. It was only with Benton's endorsement that Martin even won his last re-election. But now...
"Julie's ruined us," Martin moaned as he laid his head on his wife's shoulder and began to cry as there came a gentle knocking on Principal Andrews' door.
His secretary stuck her head inside just long enough to announce, "The Sheriff's here, sir."
"Please give us a moment. I'll buzz you when we're ready," replied the Principal, as Melissa tried to help her husband collect himself.

*The Moon Lake of Earth-2 is a TOTALLY different story line while the Moon Lakes' of Earths' 1 and 3 share the same time line up to one specific divergent point, thus both have Police Chief O'Hara and his officers protecting law and order there while Earth-2's Moon Lake depends upon Sheriff Cooper and his deputies.—tmw.
