Tad and Amy came down from Tad's room after they had their sex. The couple was holding hands when they came down, making Jay and Leon look away.
"I take it you had fun," Jen said to Tad and Amy, "But before you do anything else, I need to have a word with you both."
"Of course Ms. Decker," Amy said politely, "What is it?"
"Not here," she said, leading Amy away from Tad and her twin brothers and onto the back porch. Jen shut the door and made sure that none of the three boys were listening in. When she was 100% sure no one was, she looked to the female werewolf.
"I can tell that Tad likes you Amy," Jen began, "And I'm happy that he's fallen in love with someone. It reminds me of when I met his father. But I want you to listen here young lady, my son is the only thing I have left and is the only living reminder of Jeff I have."
"I understand that ma'am," Amy said, nodding.
"Good," Jen said, "But I want you to know one thing Amy: If you break my son's heart or use him for your own advantage, you will wish his mother wasn't a werecat, because I will never let you forget what you've done."
"Ms. Decker," Amy said, "Believe me when I say that I would never hurt Tad. I know he's the only reminder of your husband, and I don't understand how that feels. I could never imagine losing my mom or dad and having to protect Jay and Leon like this. And I promise you that I won't hurt Tad in any way, shape, or form."
"Good," Jen said, smiling, "You'll make a great mother one day."
